Method of applying indicia onto a surface of a plastic article
Methods, apparatus and system for decorating plastic articles having an uneven surface or hollow structure are disclosed. An assembly comprising a transfer pad and a flexible heat transfer die comprising a thermal interface material (TIM) replace the hard rubber die in a hot-stamping process to fuse indicia into the surface. The assembly modifies ordinary pad printing into a hot-stamping process that transfers indicia onto uneven surfaces. A pad printing machine or other robotics is used to move the assembly from a position of heating to a position of compressing the ink transfer to the surface of the article.

Surface feature transfer media and methods of use
Forming features in the surface of a bicycle component involves depositing a substance onto a substrate in a geometric pattern to form a transfer medium. Forming features may also involve positioning the transfer medium relative to an unformed bicycle component, and forming a negative of the geometric pattern in the bicycle component through the application of heat and/or pressure to the transfer medium and the unformed bicycle component. The transfer medium may be configured for use in the molding of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (“CFRP”) bicycle components and may include a substrate formed of a flexible material, and a geometric pattern formed of a hard material, the hard material different than the flexible material.
Polyurethane protective film
A protective film that can be included in multi-layer film laminates for use in marketing, advertising campaigns, particularly outdoor or other environment impacted promotions and safety applications. The film includes at least two different polyurethane polymers and is free or substantially free of polyvinyl chloride based polymer. One polyurethane has an ultimate elongation less than 200%, and another polyurethane has an ultimate elongation more than 400%. The film may be transparent, translucent, clear or have other desirable optical properties.
DYNAMIC PATTERN TRANSFER PRINTING AND PATTERN TRANSFER SHEETS WITH SPACED GROUPS OF TRENCHES
Dynamic pattern transfer printing systems and method are provided, which decouple the design of the trench patterns on a source substrate for pattern transfer printing, from the resulting metallic paste lines patterns transferred to a receiving substrate, such as PV cells. The receiving substrate may be moved forward (along the scanning direction of the laser illumination used to transfer the paste from the trenches onto the receiving substrate) to reduce the pattern pitch with respect to the source substrate, and/or the receiving substrate may be moved backward (against the scanning direction) to increase the pattern pitch with respect to the source substrate. For example, dynamic pattern transfer printing may be used to accommodate different widths of the substrates for more effective pattern transfer, and/or to enable one-to-many pattern transfer technologies with high wafer throughput. Also, pattern transfer sheet with separate multiple groups of trenches are provided.
METHOD OF FABRICATING METASURFACE ON SKIN FOR BLOOD GLUCOSE DETECTION
A method of fabricating metasurface on skin for blood glucose detection, which relates to a flexible wearable electronic technology in healthcare. The blood glucose detectioncomprises: designing metasurface with a resonant ring structure cell, and building a model by simulating a relationship between blood glucose concentration and electromagnetic absorption property of the metasurface; preparing the metasurface on the skin; scanning the metasurface on the skin under different frequencies electromagnetic wave and acquiring a relationship curve between S-11 parameter and frequency; the change of blood glucose concentration is determined according to the resonant peak frequency shift in the relationship curve based on the model. It realizes the electromagnetic wave metasurface with a good skin biocompatibility, a stable electromagnetic property and a high glucose detection accuracy is directly structured on the skin, moreover, it can directly measure human blood glucose concentration without sampling human blood, realizing real non-invasive human blood glucose detection.
