Method for manufacturing panels having a decorative surface
Method for manufacturing panels having a decorative surface, wherein the panels at least comprise a substrate and a top layer, wherein the top layer comprises a paper layer having a printed pattern, and wherein the method at least comprises the step of providing the paper layer with thermosetting resin and the step of providing the resin provided paper layer with at least a portion of the printed pattern, wherein for providing the portion of the printed pattern use is made of pigment containing inks deposited on the paper layer by means of a digital inkjet printer, and wherein the dry weight of the total volume of the pigment containing inks deposited on the paper layer is lower than 9 grams per square meter, wherein for the pigment containing ink use is made of a water-based ink.
Dye sublimation fabric separated elements
A laminate that possesses dye sublimation properties, particularly for use as tagless labels and embellishments for garments, apparel, fabric items and so forth such as sportswear fabrics, clothing and accessories is provided. The laminate includes a dye sublimation ink layer that overlies a substrate in which the dye sublimation ink interacts with the substrate's chemical make-up.
Layer-by-layer assembled multilayer lamination transfer films
Transfer films, articles made therewith, and layer-by-layer methods of making and using transfer films to form an inorganic optical stack are disclosed.
Fabric print medium
A fabric print medium containing a fabric base substrate and a primer layer composition applied to the fabric base substrate. Said primer layer composition includes at least three types of polymeric particles, at least two different fire retardant agents and a water-soluble high-valence metal complex. Also disclosed are the method for making such fabric print medium and the method for producing printed images using said material.
Print media with a top coating
In one example, a print medium includes pigment particles sized less than a hundred nanometers and frictional control additives. An undercoating is disposed between the base material and top coating. The undercoat includes a first sub-layer comprising a pigment fixative agent and a second sub-layer comprising a dye fixative agent. The top coating forms a protective and low friction coating over the undercoating.
THERMOSENSITIVE RECORDING MATERIALS CONTAINING CHELATING AGENTS
The present invention relates to thermal recording materials comprising (in order): a support (base) layer; one or more “undercoat” layers; a thermal layer (thermosensitive coloring layer); and one or more “protective” layers, wherein the thermal recording material contains an aminocarboxylic and/or phosphorus-based chelating agent.
The thermal (thermosensitive) recording materials of the invention show enhanced plasticizer resistance and/or preprint uniformity.
INKJET RECORDING METHOD AND INKJET RECORDING MEDIUM
An inkjet recording method for printing an inkjet recording medium comprising an ink-receiving layer containing inorganic pigment, starch and copolymer latex on a surface of a base with inkjet ink as aqueous pigment ink, a content of the inorganic pigment being 10 g/m.sup.2 or more to 35 g/m.sup.2 or less in the ink-receiving layer, and a content of calcium carbonate being from 80% by weight or more to 100% by weight or less, the inkjet ink containing one or more selected from self dispersed pigment and pigment containing water-insoluble polymer particles, from 10% by weight or more to 48% by weight or less of a water-soluble organic solvent A having a boiling point of 230° C. or less, from 0% by weight or more to 5.0% by weight or less of a water-soluble organic solvent B having a boiling point of 280° C. or more, from 42% by weight or more to 70% by weight or less of water.
INSTALLING PRINTED MEDIA
A printed media display system includes a media mounting surface carrying discrete male touch fastening elements arranged in a field extending across the surface, and print media in the form of a flexible sheet having a fastening side and a print side, the fastening side featuring engageable fibers in a fibrous field extending across a length and width of the flexible sheet. The system exhibits particularly good wrinkle propagation and engaged alignment properties.
FACE FILMS AND PRESSURE SENSITIVE LAMINATES FOR PRINTING
Microporous structures in face films are described for improving printability of the films. Also described are laminates and pressure sensitive adhesive laminates including the microporous structured face films. Various related methods are additionally described.
RECORDING MEDIUM AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF RECORDING MEDIUM
A recording medium has a substrate and a first color developing layer, a heat insulating layer and a second color developing layer laminated on the substrate in this order. The first color developing layer develops a first color at a temperature not less than a first threshold value. The second color developing layer develops a second color that is different from the first color at a temperature not less than a second threshold value that is higher than the first threshold value. The heat insulating layer has a first heat insulating layer of a first heat conductivity and a second heat insulating layer of a second heat conductivity that is higher than the first heat conductivity, which are laminated in a second direction orthogonal to a first direction in which the first color developing layer, the heat insulating layer, and the second color developing layer are laminated on the substrate.
