THERMAL TRANSFER RECORDING MEDIUM
A thermal transfer recording medium that is able to better suppress bleeding or scumming of an image and better suppress the occurrence of peeling lines or abnormal transfer during thermal transfer. The thermal transfer recording medium according to an embodiment includes a heat-resistant slip layer that is formed on one surface of a base material, an undercoat layer that is formed on the other surface of the base material, and a dye layer that is formed on a surface of the undercoat layer that is opposite from the surface that faces the base material; wherein the dye layer includes at least a thermally transferable dye, a first binder resin and a release agent; the release agent includes polyether-modified silicone oil and a perfluoroalkyl compound, and the ratio of the polyether-modified silicone oil and perfluoroalkyl compound, on the basis of a weight ratio, is within the range 9:1 to 6:4.
Printing coated paper and method for producing a printed material using the same
Provided is a printing coated paper which is advantageous not only in that the coated paper has offset printability and causes no mottling in the printed area even in ink jet printing, but also in that the coated paper exhibits excellent rubbing resistance with respect to the printed area and excellent print density of a dye ink. The task of the present invention is achieved by a printing coated paper having a coating layer comprised mainly of a pigment and a binder formed on at least one side of a base paper, wherein the base paper is a treated base paper which has been subjected to size press using a treatment solution containing at least one member selected from a cationic resin and a water-soluble multivalent cation salt, wherein the total applied amount per each side of the at least one member selected from a cationic resin and a water-soluble multivalent cation salt, in terms of the solids content, is in the range of from 0.1 to 5.0 g/m.sup.2, and wherein the at least one pigment in the coating layer is ground calcium carbonate having an average particle diameter of 0.1 to 0.28 μm, wherein the amount of the ground calcium carbonate having an average particle diameter of 0.1 to 0.28 μm contained in the coating layer is in the range of 60 parts by mass or more, relative to 100 parts by mass of the total of the pigment(s) in the coating layer.

A recording medium, including: an ink-receiving layer configured to receive an ink for inkjet recording; and a transparent sheet having a total luminous transmittance of 50% or more, wherein the recoding medium has a layered structure in which the transparent sheet and the ink-receiving layer are sequentially stacked, and the ink-receiving layer includes a gap-absorption-type ink-receiving layer including a composition including at least inorganic fine particles and polyvinyl alcohol having a weight-average polymerization degree of 2,000 or more and 5,000 or less and a saponification degree of 70 mol % or more and 90 mol % or less.
Recording media
The present disclosure provides recording media and related methods. A recording media for printing can comprise a base paper and a backside extruded polyethylene layer on a side of the base paper. The backside extruded polyethylene layer can include a filler and an organic reagent admixed in the extruded polyethylene layer, wherein the filler and organic reagent are present in the backside extruded polyethylene layer in an amount of 20% by weight to 50% by weight based on the total weight of the backside extruded polyethylene layer.
RECORDING MEDIUM
A recording medium includes a substrate and an ink-receiving layer as the top layer. The ink-receiving layer contains inorganic particles. The inorganic particles contain cationized colloidal silica, alumina hydrate, and fumed alumina. A content of the cationized colloidal silica is 5% or more by mass and 25% or less by mass based on a content of the inorganic particles. The mass ratio of the alumina hydrate to the fumed alumina (alumina hydrate content:fumed alumina content) is from 95:5 to 55:45.
RECORDING MEDIUM
A recording medium including a substrate and an ink-receiving layer provided on the substrate. The ink-receiving layer contains a silica particle and a water-insoluble resin. The silica particle satisfies the following expressions 1 and 2 when the average pore radius thereof determined by the BJH method is taken as r (nm), and the oil absorption thereof measured by the linseed oil droplet method is taken as V (ml/100 g):

RECORDING MEDIUM AND PRODUCTION PROCESS THEREOF
A recording medium including a substrate and an ink-receiving layer. The ink-receiving layer contains an inorganic particle, a water-insoluble resin and at least one additive selected from the group consisting of a benzotriazole ultraviolet absorber and a hindered amine photostabilizer. The average pore radius of the inorganic particle is 5.0 nm or less.
RECORDING MEDIUM
A recording medium including a substrate and an ink-receiving layer. The ink-receiving layer contains an inorganic particle, a binder and at least one surfactant. The binder contains at least one resin selected from the group consisting of an acrylic resin, a polycarbonate-modified urethane resin and a polyether-modified urethane resin. The at least one surfactant comprises an acetylene-based surfactant. The contact angle of water to a surface of the ink-receiving layer at 60 seconds after contact of the water with the surface of the ink-receiving layer is 40 degrees or more to 80 degrees or less.
FABRIC PRINTABLE MEDIUM
A fabric printable medium, with an image-side and a back-side, including a fabric base substrate; a primary layer containing polymeric binders applied on, at least, one side of the base substrate; and an image-receiving coating layer applied over, at least, one primary layer including a first and a second crosslinked polymeric network. The primary layer includes a flame-retardant dispersion including flame-retardant agents and polymeric dispersants. Also disclosed are the method for making such fabric printable medium and the method for producing printed images using said material.
Image transfer on a colored base
An image transfer article can include an image-imparting member and a removable substrate disposed adjacent to the image-imparting member. The image-imparting member can have a softening point temperature less than about 220° C. The image-imparting member can include at least one surface configured to receive and carry indicia to be transferred and at least one portion comprising a pigment providing an opaque background for received indicia. In some examples, the image-imparting member can comprise a first polymer including the indicia and at least a second polymer including the pigment. In some examples, the image-imparting member can comprise a polymer including the indicia and the pigment. The indicia and the opaque background can be arranged to concurrently transfer to a woven- or fabric-based article or paper in contact with the image-imparting member, upon application of iron pressing temperatures.
