Methods of making surface materials with embedded images
The disclosure relates to methods of manufacturing surface materials for construction or manufacturing use and the surface materials produced by such methods. Substrate materials, such as synthetic or engineered stone or fiber-reinforced resinous panels, can be formed in conventional ways such as casting, molding, or pressing. Layers are printed onto substrate materials to form textures, which may include inks to selectively color the printed texture, thereby enabling a wide variety of high-resolution appearances. A clear, protective topcoat is then applied to the surface materials and cured to provide a finished material.
ADHESIVE COMPOSITION, DIE ATTACH MATERIAL, SEALING AGENT OR COATING AGENT FOR PROTECTION, AND ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC COMPONENT
This perfluoropolyether-based adhesive composition contains: (A) a linear perfluoropolyether compound containing two or more alkenyl groups in one molecule and having a number average molecular weight of 2,000 or more and a weight loss ratio of 1% or less when heated at 150° C. for 1 hour; (B) a fluorine-containing organohydrogenpolysiloxane compound which contains at least one fluorine-containing organic group, and does not contain an epoxy group and a trialkoxysilyl group, and which has a number average molecular weight of 1,000-4,000 and a weight loss ratio of 20% or less when heated at 150° C. for 1 hour; (C) a platinum group metal compound; and (D) an organohydrogenpolysiloxane compound which contains at least one of each of an epoxy group and/or a trialkoxysilyl group bonded to a silicon atom via a carbon atom or a carbon atom and a hydrogen atom, and which has a number average molecular weight of 700 or more,
wherein the perfluoropolyether-based adhesive composition is used to provide a cured product of a fluorine-containing elastomer which has decreased contamination of peripheral parts caused by an outgas generated during heat-curing.
Method and apparatus for producing a decorative workpiece and workpiece
The inventions relates to a method for producing a decorative workpiece with a structured surface comprising the following steps: (B) applying a first liquid lacquer having a coarse structuring over the entire surface, wherein a difference in thickness between thicker regions and thinner regions is at least 50 μm, in particular at least 100 μm; (E) applying a second liquid, at least partially transparent lacquer for producing a fine structuring in some regions. Furthermore, an apparatus for performing the method and a workpiece produced by the method are claimed.
DIGITAL ASSET GENERATION AND COMMUNICATION
A greeting card is provided that includes, for example, two fold lines that define a first panel, a second panel, and a third panel, where each of those panels include front and back surfaces. The second panel includes a void. The back surface of the first panel includes an actionable unique identifier such that when the greeting card is folded along the fold lines the actionable unique identifier is visible through the void. The actionable unique identifier is usable to retrieve a digital presentation.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING A DECORATIVE WORKPIECE AND WORKPIECE
The inventions relates to a method for producing a decorative workpiece with a structured surface comprising the following steps:
(B) applying a first liquid lacquer having a coarse structuring over the entire surface, wherein a difference in thickness between thicker regions and thinner regions is at least 50 μm, in particular at least 100 μm;
(E) applying a second liquid, at least partially transparent lacquer for producing a fine structuring in some regions.
Furthermore, an apparatus for performing the method and a workpiece produced by the method are claimed.

Ultraviolet (UV) heat-activated laminating adhesive for an inkjet printing process
Apparatus, compositions, and systems for ultraviolet (UV) heat-activated laminating adhesives applied via an inkjet printing process are disclosed. A system includes a first inkjet mechanism configured to deposit ink in a particular pattern onto a surface of a rigid medium. A second inkjet mechanism is configured to deposit a laminating adhesive onto the particular pattern printed on the surface of the rigid medium. A pair of stainless steel plates is configured to receive an overlay film layer and the laminating adhesive deposited onto the particular pattern printed on the surface of the rigid medium. The overlay film layer is positioned such that a surface of the overlay film layer faces the laminating adhesive. Pressure and heat are applied to the overlay film layer and the laminating adhesive to laminate the particular pattern printed on the surface of the rigid medium.
INKJET PRINTED FILM FOR DECORATIVE APPLICATIONS
An inkjet printed flexible film for decor applications is provided. In particular the present invention relates to an inkjet printed flexible film comprising a polymer film and an ink-receptive layer comprising polymerizable and/or crosslinkable compounds or a polymer crosslinked via (meth)acrylate moieties. Ink pigments can be applied to the ink-receptive layer in a print pattern by ink jet printing. The ink-receptive layer can be printed by means of industrial digital inkjet printing. The decor applications include any decorated surfaces for flooring, wall covering, furniture, ceilings and the like.
Method and apparatus for producing a decorative surface
A method for producing a decorative and structured surface with different gloss levels by feeding of a workpiece to a lacquer application device, application of a first liquid lacquer layer over an entire surface with a coarse structure in which a difference in thickness between thicker areas and thinner areas is at least 50 μm, in order to apply a second lacquer layer on the first lacquer layer wherein after curing the second lacquer layer has a different gloss level than the first lacquer layer.
