The present invention is a thermosensitive recording material having a thermosensitive recording layer containing at least a leuco dye and a developer on a support; the thermosensitive recording material containing, as the developer, a sulfonamide compound represented by general formula (1); (a) the thermosensitive recording material further having a protective layer on the thermosensitive recording layer; the protective layer containing at least one type of adhesive agent selected from the group consisting of water soluble adhesive agents and water dispersible adhesive agents; and at least one of the thermosensitive recording layer or the protective layer containing a water resistance-imparting agent; or (b) the thermosensitive recording layer further containing saturated fatty acid amide represented by general formula (2).

TRANSFER SHEET

There is provided a transfer sheet with improvement in smudges and blurs of a transfer layer when printed matters are produced even after storing the transfer sheet under high temperatures. The transfer sheet according to the present invention comprises a substrate, and in the order a peel layer and a transfer layer on the substrate, wherein the peel layer contains a binder resin, a silicone oil and/or a wax component and the total contents of the silicone oil and the wax component in the peel layer is 0.1 mass % or more and 15 mass % or less, based on the solid content of mass of the binder resin.

Cut Material

A cut material includes an infusible ink layup, a laminate layer, and a backing layer. The laminate layer is disposed between the infusible ink layup and the backing layer.

High gloss photo media and method of making same

A high gloss photo media that has a gloss at 20 degrees equal to or greater than 40% includes a photo media substrate that includes a gloss-enhancement film on a front side of a photo base material. A curl control material is on a back side of the photo base material opposite the front side. The gloss-enhancement film being a multilayer that includes an adherent layer and a layer of one of a polyester composition and a polypropylene composition. A thickness of the gloss-enhancement film is at least 20 microns. The high gloss photo media further includes an image receiving layer on the gloss-enhancement film.

Methods and systems are provided for color printing. For example, a method of printing is provided, including printing a three-dimensional object onto a substrate using a printing device. The method includes receiving color graphic design information at the printing device and receiving the substrate at the printing device. The color graphic design information represents a color graphic. The method further includes printing a lower color graphic layer of the three-dimensional object onto the substrate using the color graphic design information and printing a transparent structural layer of the three-dimensional object onto the lower color graphic layer. The method further includes printing an upper color graphic layer of the three-dimensional object onto the transparent structural layer using the color graphic design information. A combination of the upper color graphic layer and the lower color graphic layer visually matches the color graphic.

Recording medium and recording device

A recording medium according to an embodiment includes a base material; a first color developing layer that is laminated on the base material, and absorbs light having a given wavelength to develop a color; a photothermal conversion layer that is laminated closer to an incident side of the light than the first color developing layer, transmits visible light, and absorbs the light for photothermal conversion; and a second color developing layer that is laminated closer to the incident side of the light than the first color developing layer, transmits visible light and the light, and develops a color by heat converted by the photothermal conversion layer.

Dye sublimation fabric separated elements

A laminate that possesses dye sublimation properties, particularly for use as tagless labels and embellishments for garments, apparel, fabric items and so forth such as sportswear fabrics, clothing and accessories is provided. The laminate includes a dye sublimation ink layer that overlies a substrate in which the dye sublimation ink interacts with the substrate's chemical make-up.

Print media with a top coating

In one example, a print medium includes pigment particles sized less than a hundred nanometers and frictional control additives. An undercoating is disposed between the base material and top coating. The undercoat includes a first sub-layer comprising a pigment fixative agent and a second sub-layer comprising a dye fixative agent. The top coating forms a protective and low friction coating over the undercoating.

THERMOSENSITIVE RECORDING MATERIALS CONTAINING CHELATING AGENTS

The present invention relates to thermal recording materials comprising (in order): a support (base) layer; one or more “undercoat” layers; a thermal layer (thermosensitive coloring layer); and one or more “protective” layers, wherein the thermal recording material contains an aminocarboxylic and/or phosphorus-based chelating agent.

The thermal (thermosensitive) recording materials of the invention show enhanced plasticizer resistance and/or preprint uniformity.
