A DOUBLE-SIDED ADHESIVE FLEXOGRAPHIC PRINTING PLATE UNDERLAY
A double-sided adhesive flexographic printing plate underlay for use in the manufacture and mounting of flexographic printing plates is provided. The underlay is carrier sheet with a solvent acrylic adhesive stripe-coating provided on both sides thereof. In addition, a siliconized release liner is provided to cover one of the coated sides of the carrier sheet. Both the carrier sheet and the release liner are formed from a glass clear polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and the solvent acrylic adhesive is transparent such that ultraviolent light can readily pass through the underlay. The construction of the underlay is such that it can withstand the washout conditions employed in the manufacture of both liquid and solid photopolymer flexographic printing plates.

Structured adhesive layer
The invention relates to the use of an adhesive tape to adhesively bond printing plates, during which the impairment of the adhesive bonds by air bubble inclusions between the adhesive tape and a substrate should be reduced. This is achieved by using an adhesive tape comprising at least one adhesive layer, wherein the adhesive layer has at least one groove that does not extend to one of the edges of the adhesive layer, and the portion of the entire groove volume of the adhesive layer that is associated with such grooves is more than 50%.
INK TRANSFER MEDIUM
An ink transfer medium, in particular a printing blanket, in particular a printing blanket for flexographic printing, has a cover layer for transferring an ink via a printing side and an adhesive layer for fastening the ink transfer medium to a base, in particular to a cylinder of a printing machine. The ink transfer medium is characterized by a support layer which is disposed between the cover layer and the adhesive layer, wherein the adhesive layer is disposed directly on that side of the support layer that faces away from the printing side, and wherein the support layer is a film/foil.
Pressure-sensitive adhesives for bonding flexible printing plates
A pressure-sensitive adhesive comprising at least one adhesive component comprising at least one polymer component based on a monomer mixture comprising at least one of the following monomers: at least one acrylic ester at least one methacrylic ester acrylic acid methacrylic acid
is particularly suitable for the bonding of printing plates, particularly to printing cylinders and/or printing sleeves, if the polymer component further comprises as monomer 5 to 25 wt %, preferably 7.5 to 20 wt % and more preferably more than 10 to 15 wt %, of vinyl acetate, the quantity figures being based in each case on the monomer mixture.
PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVES FOR BONDING FLEXIBLE PRINTING PLATES
Pressure-sensitive adhesives and methods, for bonding flexible printing plates, comprising at least one adhesive component comprising at least one polymer component based on a monomer mixture comprising at least one of the following monomers: at least one acrylic ester; at least one methacrylic ester; acrylic acid; and methacrylic acid. The pressure-sensitive adhesives further comprise 1 to 30 wt %, based on the overall blend of the at least one adhesive component without solvent, of a polyvinyl acetate.

A pressure-sensitive adhesive comprising at least one adhesive component comprising at least one polymer component based on a monomer mixture comprising at least one of the following monomers: at least one acrylic ester at least one methacrylic ester acrylic acid methacrylic acid
is particularly suitable for the bonding of printing plates, particularly to printing cylinders and/or printing sleeves, if the pressure-sensitive adhesive further comprises 1 to 25 wt %, preferably 2 to 20 wt %, based in each case on the overall blend of the at least one adhesive component without solvent, of at least one compound selected from the group consisting of stearyl alcohol, aliphatic and aromatic dicarboxylic esters, acetylated polyols and ethoxylated fatty acid amines.
PRESSURE-SENSITIVE ADHESIVE SHEET FOR MOBILE ELECTRONICS
Provided is a PSA sheet capable of bringing about good air release properties in mobile electronic applications. The present invention provides a PSA sheet for mobile electronics. The PSA sheet comprises a substrate film and a PSA layer provided to at least one face of the substrate film. The PSA layer has a thickness of 20 m or less. The PSA sheet further comprises a coating layer that partially covers the PSA layer surface. The coating layer has a thickness less than 3 m.
