This disclosure relates to a spindle cover comprising a non-thermoplastic polyimide, wherein the spindle cover has a wall thickness in a range from about 1 mm to about 10 mm.
TOPCOAT COMPOSITION OF IMAGING BLANKET WITH IMPROVED PROPERTIES
Provided herein is a topcoat composition comprising at least one fluorosilicone, a hydride-functional crosslinking agent, an infrared-absorbing filler, and at least one dispersant that is non-reactive with the hydride-functional crosslinking agent, by weight based on a total weight of the topcoat composition, wherein the topcoat composition has a degree of crosslinking between about 10 micrograms/hour/milligrams to about 20 micrograms/hour/milligrams. Further provided herein are methods of making the topcoat composition, as well as an imaging blanket and methods of reducing coating defects on a media coated using the imaging member.
Device for printing cans, a process for printing cans, a printed can and a transfer blanket
A device for imprinting cans comprises a plurality of ink cartridges that supply ink to a plurality of printing plates; the printing plates communicate with transfer blankets fixed to a drum, the transfer blankets move ink from the printing plates and apply it to cans; each transfer blanket includes a different art in low relief which produces an image on cans in addition to the image produced by printing plates; the device is preferably a rotary dry offset printer.
BLANKET OR SLAB FOR OVERPRINT VARNISHING
A blanket or slab for overprint varnishing at least including a varnishing layer and a single-layer or multilayer support of uniform thickness. The varnishing layer can be made of a non-cross-linked elastomeric thermoplastic polymer, and have non-image areas where no transfer of varnish takes place. The non-image areas can be areas of the varnishing layer that lack material and extend from the outer surface of the varnishing layer to a depth which is no less than half the thickness of the varnishing layer. At least one non-image area can delineate a geometric shape having an area of less than 5 mm.sup.2. The varnishing layer having non-image areas can be a physical reproduction of a digital model obtained with additive technology.
Printing blanket and method for manufacturing printing blanket
A method for manufacturing a printing blanket including an elastic body that can be repeatedly used by removing a sheet is provided. According to the above of the present invention, the printing blanket includes an elastic body and a sheet bonded to the elastic body and performs printing by pressing the sheet against a printing object surface. The method includes a sheet fixing step of fixing the sheet at a periphery of a region in which the sheet is to be bonded to the elastic body; an elastic body placing step of placing the elastic body so that a bonding surface of the elastic body faces a bonding surface of the sheet that is fixed; a wax applying step of forming a wax layer on a surface of the elastic body; an adhesive applying step of applying an adhesive to at least one of the sheet and the elastic body that is provided with the wax layer on the surface thereof; and a pressing step of pressing the sheet and the elastic body against each other and bringing the sheet into close contact with the elastic body provided with the wax layer such that the adhesive is interposed therebetween while stretching the sheet along the surface.
