Method of manufacturing printing blanket
A method of manufacturing a printing blanket without wrinkles in a sheet is provided, the printing blanket including an elastic body and a sheet bonded to a surface thereof, the method being configured to press a surface of the sheet against a surface to be printed, to perform printing, and including: fixing the sheet at a periphery of a region of the sheet to be bonded to the elastic body; mounting the elastic body to oppose a bonding surface of the elastic body to a bonding surface of the fixed sheet; applying an adhesive to at least one of the bonding surface of the sheet or the bonding surface of the elastic body; and pressing the bonding surface of the sheet and the bonding surface of the elastic body against each other to bring the sheet into close contact with the elastic body through intermediation of the adhesive while stretching the sheet along the surface of the elastic body.

PRINTING BLANKET
Provided is a printing blanket that is unlikely to cause portions uncoated with ink even when the printing-applied surface has protrusions. The printing blanket according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a printing surface to be pressed against a printing plate on which the ink is placed and against the surface on which printing is applied and that is a target of printing. The printing blanket further includes a substrate, an inner coating layer covering at least part of the surface of the substrate, and an outer coating layer covering at least part of the surface of the inner coating layer that is on the side opposite the substrate. The inner coating layer has a smaller Asker C hardness than the substrate, and the outer coating layer has the printing surface on the side opposite the inner coating layer.
Undercoat layer with low release force for aqueous printing transfix system
Disclosed herein are sacrificial coating compositions comprising at least one hydrophilic polymer; at least one hygroscopic agent; at least one surfactant; at least one non-reactive silicone release agent; and water. In certain embodiments, the at least one non-reactive silicone release agent is chosen from polyether modified polysiloxane and nonreactive silicone glycol copolymers. In certain embodiments, the at least one non-reactive silicone release agent may be present in an amount ranging from about 0.001% to about 2%, based on the total weight of the composition, such as from about 0.03% to about 0.06%. Also disclosed herein is a blanket material suitable for transfix printing comprising a sacrificial coating composition, as well as an indirect printing process comprising a step of applying a sacrificial coating composition to a blanket material.
PRINT PAD BLANKET
The invention presented is a pad printing blanket that reduces damage to pad printing heads. The industry-standard pad printing head is soft plastic, silicone or urethane. The pad is used to print designs on three-dimensional surfaces and the pad must be pressed firmly onto said surfaces. This pressure leaves permanent indentations on the print pad surface, eventually rendering the print pad useless for printing. The invention covers said print pad with a blanket of soft plastic which carries the ink for the image. Only the pad blanket contacts the printable surface, protecting the print pad and reducing the need for expensive print pad replacement.
BLANKET FOR TRANSFERRING A PASTE IMAGE FROM ENGRAVED PLATE TO SUBSTRATE
A blanket for transferring a paste image from an engraved plate to a substrate is provided. The blanket includes a foam, a PET layer on the foam, and a paste transfer layer on the PET layer. The entire blanket has a Tan value of 0.05 to 0.10. The foam can be made of polyurethane, polyethylene, nitrile-butadiene rubber, silicone, or a combination thereof. The paste transfer layer can be made of silicone rubber, fluoro rubber, fluorosilicone rubber, a combination thereof, or a multi-layered structure thereof.
DEVICE FOR PRINTING CANS, A PROCESS FOR PRINTING CANS, A PRINTED CAN AND A TRANSFER BLANKET
A device 1 for imprinting cans 8 comprises a plurality of ink cartridges 2a-2f that supply ink to a plurality of printing plates 3a-3f; the printing plates 2a-2f communicate with transfer blankets 5a-5l fixed to drum 6, the transfer blankets 5a-5l move ink from the printing plates 2a-2f and apply it to cans 8; each transfer blanket 2a-2f includes a different art in low relief (FIG. 15) which produces an image on cans 8 in addition to the image produced by printing plates 2a-2f; the device 1 is preferably a rotary dry offset printer. A method of printing cans comprising forming a relief image in a transfer blanket with a laser is also disclosed.
Blanket for transferring a paste image from an engraved plate to a substrate
A blanket for transferring a paste image from an engraved plate to a substrate is provided. The blanket includes a foam; a supporting layer on the foam; and a paste transfer layer on the supporting layer. The paste transfer layer is an inter-penetrating polymer network of silicone rubber and fluoroelastomer.
Device for printing cans, a process for printing cans, a printed can and a transfer blanket
The present invention relates to a device for printing cans with different print patterns in the same production sequence, without it being necessary to interrupt the production. Another objective of the present invention is to provide a process for producing cans, which uses a printing device, the can produced by the device and process, and a transfer blanket that is a graphic means that influences the final print patterns of the cans to be printed.
Method and blanket for transferring a paste image from engraved plate to substrate
A blanket for transferring a paste image from an engraved plate to a substrate is provided. The blanket includes a foam, a PET layer on the foam, and a paste transfer layer on the PET layer. The foam has a Shore A hardness of 20 to 80 and a thickness of 0.5 mm to 1.5 mm, wherein the foam has a higher Shore A hardness corresponding to a greater thickness.
