ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL UNIT FOR DUST AND ODOR CONTROL
An environmental control unit comprises a housing, a vacuum cleaner, a filtration unit, and a blower. The vacuum cleaner is positioned in the housing and is configured to receive a tool contaminant stream produced by at least one tool. The vacuum cleaner filters particulate matter from the tool contaminant stream, thereby producing a filtered air stream. The filtration unit is also positioned within the housing and comprises at least one filter. The blower is positioned within the housing downstream of the filtration unit. The blower is configured to create negative air pressure within the second compartment to draw an area contaminant stream from an exterior of the environmental control unit into the housing. A second blower may also be present. The blower draws the filtered air stream and the area contaminant stream through the at least one filter in the filtration unit to produce a filtered mixture stream.
Filter cleaning
A filter device for a vacuum cleaner, including a turbine device, for generating at least one first and one second main air flow through at least a portion of the vacuum cleaner, and a control unit. The filter device includes a first chamber including a first filter element, a first outflow opening, a first inlet opening and a first pressure surge element, which divides the first chamber into a first and a second space and is reversibly movable between a first and a second position, the first main air flow being able to flow into the first space of the first chamber through the first filter element and to flow back out through the first outflow opening, a second chamber including a second filter element, a second outflow opening, a second inlet opening and a second pressure surge element, which divides the second chamber into a first and a second space and is reversibly movable between a first and a second position, the second main air flow being able to flow into the first space of the second chamber through the second filter element and to flow back out through the second outflow opening. The first pressure surge element and the second pressure surge element alternately are reversibly movable to alternately clean the first and second filters.
Filter cleaning

The first pressure surge element and the second pressure surge element alternately are reversibly movable to alternately clean the first and second filters.
Surface cleaning apparatus
A surface cleaning apparatus includes a housing having an elongate axis (H) and supports a suction source, and a dirt separation device having an elongate axis (A). The dirt separation device includes a separator for separating dirt from dirt-laden air, and a dirt collection chamber for receiving separated dirt. The dirt separation device or a part of the dirt separation device is releasably connected to the housing. A passage member that transports dirt-laden air to the dirt separation device has an elongate axis (B). The dirt separation device is pivotally moveable relative to the housing to effect release of the dirt separation device.
Dirt separation device
A dirt separation device for a surface cleaning apparatus including: a separator for separating dirt from dirt-laden air; an inlet through which dirt-laden air is drawn into the separator; an outlet through which cleaner air exits the separator; a dirt collection chamber for receiving separated dirt; a cover member movable between a first position in which the cover member inhibits access to the dirt collection chamber and a second position in which the cover member permits access to the dirt collection chamber; an actuator device coupled to the cover member for effecting movement of the cover member from the first position to the second position, wherein the actuator device is rotationally movable, or an engagement part operably connected to the actuator device is rotationally movable, to effect movement of the closing member from the first position to the second position.
Handheld surface cleaning apparatus
A hand vacuum cleaner has an air flow path extending from a dirty air inlet to a clean air outlet with a suction motor positioned in the air flow path. A cyclone chamber positioned in the air flow path has a cyclone axis of rotation that extends in the forward/rearward direction. A pre-motor filter overlies the cyclone chamber.
HAND CARRYABLE SURFACE CLEANING APPARATUS
A hand vacuum cleaner has an air treatment chamber, which comprises a stationary portion and an openable portion. The openable portion is moveably mounted by a mount between a closed position in which the air treatment chamber is closed and an open position in which the air treatment chamber is open. The Air treatment chamber has an air outlet comprising a screen and the screen is moveable with the openable portion.
Surface cleaning apparatus
A surface cleaning apparatus has a cyclone chamber. The cyclone chamber has an air inlet at a first end and an air outlet at an opposed end. A screen member extends from the air inlet to the air outlet at the opposed end.
Surface cleaning apparatus
A surface cleaning apparatus has a cyclone chamber and a dirt collection chamber. The cyclone chamber has a sidewall extending from a first end to an axially opposed second end. The dirt collection chamber has first and second axially opposed ends, the second end of the dirt collection chamber is located axially inwardly from the first end of the dirt collection chamber and the second end of the dirt collection chamber has a second end wall that is spaced axially inwardly from the second opposed end of the cyclone chamber.
Automatically moving robotic vacuum cleaner as well as system comprised of an automatically moving robotic vacuum cleaner robot and an external vacuum cleaning apparatus
An automatically moving robotic vacuum cleaner has a housing and a filter chamber for receiving suction material. The housing has a housing opening that is formed on the upper side of the housing and has a displaceable sealing element, which can be displaced from a closed position that closes the housing opening into a released position that releases the housing opening, so as to enable access to the filter chamber. The closure element can be mounted on the housing in a linearly movable manner. There is a detection device that is set up to detect the presence of an external vacuum cleaning apparatus to be connected with the housing opening in the area of the housing opening of the robotic vacuum cleaner. The robotic vacuum cleaner also has a control device that is set up to control an opening of the housing opening upon detection of the external vacuum cleaning apparatus.
