System and method for controlling color characteristics of a printed image
A method controls the color in a printing press, which includes at least one printing station printing a respective color design. The method includes the procedures of determining a control factor to color model, printing a design on a web and acquiring color characteristics corresponding to the printed design on the web. The method further includes the procedures of determining the color quality of the printed color design and determining a required change to at least one control factor when a correction to the color characteristics of the printed design is required. The change to at least one control factor is determined by determining the at least one control factor with respective color related information, which results in a reference color characteristic, according to the control factor to color model. The method returns to the procedure of printing when a correction is not required.
PRINTING PARAMETER ACQUISITION DEVICE
A printing parameter acquisition device includes an acquisition section and an output section. The acquisition section acquires a printing condition for specifying a member to be used when solder is printed on a board. The output section outputs a printing parameter which is associated with a printing condition corresponding to a printing condition acquired by the acquisition section and of which a reliability is a predetermined level or more, from a database that stores the printing condition, a printing parameter used for controlling driving of a printer, and the reliability of the printing parameter including inspection information on a print state of the solder inspected by a printing inspector in association with each other.

The computer analyzes the print jobs in the printer queue in terms of defined minimum numbers before the print jobs are processed and the print jobs are not processed on the printing machine until a threshold of a defined minimum number is attained.

A print quality examination device is provided in a printing machine (1) provided with a printing unit (3) that performs printing on a mirror-reflection member (5a) of a sheet (5) to which the mirror-reflection member (5a) is added. The print quality examination device of the printing machine is provided with an examination camera (18a) that images a picture printed on the sheet (5), a light source (18h) that irradiates the sheet (5) with light, and a print quality examination unit (18g) that examines the quality of the picture printed by the printing unit (3) based on image data imaged by the examination camera (18a). The examination camera (18a) or the light source (18h) is configured to be movably supported on an arc about a detection point (P) imaged by the examination camera (18a) for the sheet (5).
Method and device for operating a rotary screen-printing machine
A screen-printing unit in a printing machine comprises a screen cylinder which carries a screen-printing stencil and in which a squeegee is moved, from the inside, into contact with, and away from the screen-printing stencil. The screen cylinder is moved into contact with an impression cylinder, such that a printing position is formed, and is moved away therefrom, such that a gap is formed. The screen cylinder is moved away from the impression cylinder, in a first phase, when the squeegee is in a non-contacting position. In a second phase, at least one sheet of printing material is passed through the printing position when the squeegee continues to be in a non-contacting position and the screen cylinder is at least temporarily in a contacting position. For subsequent sheets of printing material, in a third phase, the screen-printing unit is operated with the squeegee one of permanently and cyclically, such as at least once for each sheet of printing material, in a contacting position.
System and method for generating images for inspection
Method for generating a test-set for inspection of a design being printed by a printing-press, each color-unit in the printing-press prints a respective color. The design is composed of original-layers. Inspection includes determining the origin of at least one defect in the printed-design. The method includes the procedures of generating defective-layer or layers of the design, by introducing at least one selected defect to at least one selected original-layer, in a selected location or locations and combining layers using a trained-synthesis-neural-network. The layers include the defective-layer or layers and remaining ones of the original-layers. The trained-synthesis-neural-network provides a plurality of features respective of each pixel. The method also includes the procedure of generating the test-set from the output of the synthesis-neural-network. The test-set includes at least one synthesized-test-image. The synthesized-test-image includes at least one synthesized-defect at the selected location. The test-set is employed to determine the origin of the defect.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR OPERATING A ROTARY SCREEN-PRINTING MACHINE
A screen-printing unit in a printing machine comprises a screen cylinder which carries a screen-printing stencil and in which a squeegee is moved, from the inside, into contact with, and away from the screen-printing stencil. The screen cylinder is moved into contact with an impression cylinder, such that a printing position is formed, and is moved away therefrom, such that a gap is formed. Method for configuring a dryer device in a security printing press, and a security printing press
A method is provided for configuring a drying device in a printing machine, in particular in a value document printing machine. The printing machine has at least one printing unit which comprises an imaging cylinder having a plurality of imaging printing elements or groups of imaging printing elements which are arranged in rows and columns on its circumference. A drying device has a dryer, by which print material, passing through the dryer, is subject to radiation. The drying device is configured for ongoing or upcoming production in such a way that the print material passing through the dryer, in order to be dried, is subjected to radiation in a plurality of tracks spaced from each other by non-irradiated tracks according to the same switch-on and switch-off sequence extending over cycle length. The configuration takes place with regard to one of a lateral position and a width of the tracks to be subject to two radiation by the dryer using product-related data or information regarding one of the number and the size and the position of value items to be printed next to each other on the print material portion and one of using data which comes from a device for image capture and an evaluation comprised by the printing machine or provided in parallel to such a device.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GENERATING IMAGES FOR INSPECTION
Method for generating a test-set for inspection of a design being printed by a printing-press, each color-unit in the printing-press prints a respective color. The design is composed of original-layers. Inspection includes determining the origin of at least one defect in the printed-design. The method includes the procedures of generating defective-layer or layers of the design, by introducing at least one selected defect to at least one selected original-layer, in a selected location or locations and combining layers using a trained-synthesis-neural-network. The layers include the defective-layer or layers and remaining ones of the original-layers. The trained-synthesis-neural-network provides a plurality of features respective of each pixel. The method also includes the procedure of generating the test-set from the output of the synthesis-neural-network. The test-set includes at least one synthesized-test-image. The synthesized-test-image includes at least one synthesized-defect at the selected location. The test-set is employed to determine the origin of the defect.
