METHOD FOR BINDING A BUNDLE OF LEAVES, A BUNDLE OF LEAVES, METHOD AND DEVICE FOR FORMING SUCH A BUNDLE OF LEAVES
Method for binding a bundle (5) of leaves (1) in a binding back (7), whereby the bundle (5) is placed in the binding back (7) with an edge (2) of the leaves (1) and fastened therein, characterised in that for the binding use is made of a bundle (5) of leaves (1) of which a strip (4) of each of the leaves (1) has been separately double folded beforehand along the same line to form a fold line (3) that extends parallel to and at a distance (A) from the aforementioned edge (2).
Method for applying at least one enclosing element to a flat product composition, and enclosing element applying device for carrying out the method
A method for applying at least one enclosing element to a flat product composition wherein the enclosing element is subsequently applied around a selected edge of the product composition in a perpendicular manner with respect to said edge so as to rest against the product composition. A reliable operation that is independent of the type of enclosing element is achieved in that the selected edge of the product composition is moved forward along a transporting path, the enclosing element is held ready at a specified point of the transporting path so as to intersect the transporting path, the selected edge of the product composition is moved past the specified point, and at the same time the selected edge drives the enclosing element that is held ready.
Method for binding a bundle of leaves, a bundle of leaves, method and device for forming such a bundle of leaves
Method for binding a bundle (5) of leaves (1) in a binding back (7), whereby the bundle (5) is placed in the binding back (7) with an edge (2) of the leaves (1) and fastened therein, characterized in that for the binding use is made of a bundle (5) of leaves (1) of which a strip (4) of each of the leaves (1) has been separately double folded beforehand along the same line to form a fold line (3) that extends parallel to and at a distance (A) from the aforementioned edge (2).
Sheet processing device and sheet processing method
A sheet processing device includes a tape binding processing unit, a paper discharge unit, and a control unit. The tape binding processing unit performs tape binding processing on a sheet bundle. The paper discharge unit discharges the sheet bundle subjected to the tape binding processing onto a paper discharge tray. The control unit is configured to control at least one of the tape binding processing unit and the paper discharge unit, such that a first tape binding of the first bundle of sheets and a second tape binding of the second bundle of sheets are not in contact with each other when the first bundle of sheets and the second bundle of sheets are stacked on the paper discharge tray.
Sheet processing device and image forming device provided with the same
A sheet processing device that bonds sheets to one another and then folds a resultant sheet bundle. The sheet processing device includes a stacker section that sequentially stores sheets moved thereto, an adhesive-binding unit that applies an adhesive onto sheets sequentially stored in the stacker section one by one in a sheet moving direction to bond the sheets to one another, a moving member that moves the sheets to an application position of the adhesive-binding unit, and a folding processing section that folds a sheet bundle formed by the bonded sheets at a predetermined folding position. When the number of sheets to be bonded by the adhesive-binding unit applying the adhesive onto the sheets exceeds a predetermined number, the adhesive is applied at two positions separated from each other across the folding position.
PAPER BINDING APPARATUS AND PAPER BINDING METHOD
A paper binding apparatus includes a pair of guides between which a paper bundle connected body formed by applying an adhesive tape to edge portions of sheets that are overlapped in a thickness direction, is moved in a reference direction while pinching the paper bundle connected body in the thickness direction, a guide plate on one side of the paper bundle connected body and downstream of the pair of guides, the guide plate having at least one guide surface that causes the paper bundle connected body guided thereby to be bent, and a driving roller configure to rotate in a first direction to move the paper bundle connected body and to cause a leading edge of the paper bundle connected body to be guided and bent by the at least one guide surface and the edge portions of the sheets to be shifted from each other in the reference direction.
NOTEBOOK AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
A notebook is formed by folding up zigzag a continuous web form for every unit form with rouletted fold lines to form a text unit including a preset number of unit forms. After cutting off one folded side to leave the other folded side, the text unit is sandwiched between a front cover and a back cover and is covered with a spine. The spine is pressed against the remaining the other folded side of the text unit together with the front cover and the back cover by the medium of a mesh cloth impregnated with an adhesive so as to cover and wrap the whole a back of the stack of the front cover, the text unit and the back cover. The notebook can be used in a completely spread state (180-degree horizontal state) and conveniently, and retains high security and high functionality. A process for producing the notebook.
END PAPER ARRANGEMENT AND METHOD FOR FORMING THE FRONT AND BACK END PAPER OF A BOOK
An end paper arrangement and method for forming the front and back end paper of a book wherein the end paper arrangement comprises an inner sheet and outer sheet which are fastened on one side against each other over at least one area so that an unfastened area remains between the fastened areas. The unfastened area forms a tunnel for the spine of the book. On that side of the inner sheet which is opposite to the fastened side there is an adhesive surface on both edge parts, and there is an adhesive-free area between the adhesive surfaces. On the side of the outer sheet which is opposite to the fastened side, there is an adhesive surface on both edge parts, and there is an adhesive-free area between the adhesive surfaces. The method performs the assembly set forth in the arrangement.
Method and device for applying portions of a backlining material to the back of a book block
A method for applying portions of a backlining material to a back of a book block includes transporting the book block in a conveying direction in a book production line. The back of the book block is provided with an adhesive, wherein the book block is initially provided with the adhesive over an entire back length of the book block in a single application process. Then, the portions of the backlining material are applied in succession to the back of the book block, wherein at least a first portion of the backlining material is applied by a first conveying device and subsequently at least a second portion of the backlining material is applied by a second conveying device to the back of the book block such that at least one of the portions overlaps another one of the portions.
