SHEET PROCESSING APPARATUS THAT BINDS SHEETS WITH AN ADHESIVE
A sheet processing apparatus includes a sheet holding unit, a sheet conveying unit configured to convey a plurality of sheets one by one onto the sheet holding unit during sheet processing, wherein the plurality of sheets includes a first sheet and a second sheet that is conveyed immediately after the first sheet, an adhesive applying unit configured to apply an adhesive material on the first sheet held on the sheet holding unit before the second sheet is conveyed onto the first sheet, and a pressing unit configured to press the second sheet against the first sheet after the second sheet is conveyed onto the first sheet.
BOOKLET FORMING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A booklet forming device includes a sheet support portion, and a bonding unit including a pressurizing member and configured to form a bonding layer. In a case of forming a first booklet including a first number of sheets, the bonding unit is operated under a first operation condition so that a thickness of the bonding layer positioned closest to the pressurizing member in the first booklet becomes a first thickness. In a case of forming a second booklet including a second number of sheets more than the first number of sheets, the bonding unit is operated under a second operation condition different from the first operation condition so that the thickness of the bonding layer positioned closest to the pressurizing member in the second booklet becomes a second thickness larger than the first thickness.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND BOOKLET PRODUCING METHOD
An image forming apparatus at least comprising: first image forming means for forming a first adhesive layer of a first toner on a sheet; and second image forming means for forming a second adhesive layer of a second toner on the first adhesive layer, adhesive image patterns are formed from the first and the second adhesive layer, the image forming apparatus further comprising specific booklet bonding means, wherein at least both the first and the second adhesive layer are formed on one of a first sheet and a second sheet that face each other in the sheet bundle, at least the first adhesive layer is formed on the other of the first sheet and the second sheet, and G1>G2 is satisfied, where G1 denotes a storage elastic modulus of the first toner, and G2 denotes a storage elastic modulus of the second toner.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS FORMING TONER IMAGE FOR BONDING TOGETHER PLURALITY OF SHEETS
An image forming apparatus comprises a rotationally driven photosensitive body, a charging device that charges a surface of the photosensitive body, an exposure light source that forms an electrostatic latent image by exposing the surface of the photosensitive body to light, a developing device that forms a toner image by developing the electrostatic latent image using toner, a transfer member that transfers the toner image to a sheet, a first memory that stores a cumulative image formation amount for each one of N exposure regions, and a control circuit that controls the exposure light source.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, METHOD FOR CONTROLLING IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A method for controlling an image forming apparatus includes performing image formation on a sheet using a recording material, executing sheet processing for binding a plurality of sheets using the recording material, and storing a history of the image formation and a history of the sheet processing.
SHEET PROCESSING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
A sheet processing apparatus includes a center folder, a back-crimp binder, and circuitry. The center folder performs a center-folding process to form a fold portion on a sheet bundle including multiple sheets. The back-crimp binder includes a back-portion former and a crimp binder. The back-portion former forms a back portion of the fold portion on the sheet bundle subjected to the center-folding process. The crimp binder performs a crimp-binding process on the back portion of the sheet bundle subjected to the center-folding process. The circuitry is to cause the back-crimp binder to form a crimp mark parallel to the fold portion on the back portion of the sheet bundle.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
Disclosed is an image forming apparatus that includes a process cartridge including a recording material; an image former that form a first image for a body and a second image for adhesion on a sheet by using a recording material; a sheet bonder that bond together a predetermined number of sheets on which at least one image has been formed; one or more memory devices that store a set of instructions; and one or more processors that execute the set of instructions to: set a density level of an image to be formed, and based on the set density level, individually control densities of the first image and the second image.
Sheet binding apparatus, sheet binding method and sheet post-processing apparatus
In accordance with one embodiment, a sheet binding apparatus comprises a pasting section and a control section. The pasting section is capable of selectively carrying out pasting processing on at least one of a plurality of different given pasting target areas on sheets to be pasted. The control section controls the execution of the pasting processing based on the pasting section so that pasting target areas of a first sheet and a second sheet other than the first sheet within a plurality of sheets to be subjected to binding processing are different.
SHEET PASTING AND BINDING APPARATUS AND SHEET POST-PROCESSING APPARATUS
A sheet pasting and binding apparatus has a paste application unit, an acquisition unit, a detection unit, and a controller. The paste application unit can change an application amount for applying paste to fed sheets. The acquisition unit acquires the number of printing instructed sheets. The detection unit detects the remaining amount of the paste. The controller controls the paste application unit so that pasting and binding are performed using a second paste application amount which is smaller than a first paste application amount while the pasting and binding are performed using the first paste application amount which is specified in advance as the paste application amount for maintaining a binding force between the sheets, based on the reception number and the remaining paste amount.
Sheet post-processing apparatus
A post-processing apparatus according to an embodiment includes an adhesive binding unit that binds a plurality of sheets into a bundle. A controller sets an allowable binding number X of sheets capable of being subject to binding at one time in the adhesive binding apparatus. The controller sets a predetermined remaining number N of sheets. The controller receives a number A of the sheets instructed to be bound in the adhesive binding unit. The controller calculates a remaining number n of sheets, where n=AX. The controller determines whether n>N or nN. The adhesive binding unit binds the A number of the sheets into a single bundle when it is determined that nN.
