Post-processing apparatus, image forming system, and post-processing method
A post-processing apparatus for performing post-processing on a sheet having an image formed thereon, the post-processing at least including case bookbinding by using paste, the apparatus including: a paste applicator having a paste application member and configured to supply paste to coat a back of a sheet bundle with the paste; a pressurization member for pressing a cover onto the back of the sheet bundle with the paste coated thereon; and a controller configured to receive information relating to a cover gutter setting on the sheet bundle and to perform control over the paste applicator and the pressurization member, the controller being configured to cause, in a guttered cover setting, the paste to overflow in a larger amount from the back of the sheet bundle toward a gutter than an amount of overflow in a non-guttered cover setting based on the information relating to the cover gutter setting.

METHOD FOR BINDING A BUNDLE OF SHEETS OF PAPER, BOOK OR FOLDER THEREBY OBTAINED, BUNDLE OF SHEETS
Method for binding a bundle (5) of sheets (1), whereby an edge (2) of the bundle (5) of sheets (1) is bound, whereby use is made of sheets (1) in which a strip (4) of each of the sheets (1) is double folded separately beforehand along the same line to form a fold line (3) parallel to and at a distance (A) from the aforementioned edge (2). If paper with a density of less than 120 grams per square metre is used for the sheet (1), after having been double folded the strip (4) is folded at least once more along the aforementioned fold line (3).

Method for providing a stack composed of book covers for book production
A method for providing a stack of book covers for production of finished books includes supplying a task stack of book covers having identical cover formats and stacked one above another in an unknown or known sequence. Each book cover in the task stack includes an identifier comprising cover information. The book covers are separated out and conveyed from the task stack as separate book covers in a sequence that does not change until a completion signal is transmitted. The separated out book covers are counted, an identifier on each separated out book cover is detected, and cover information is read out of the respective identifier stored. The separated out book covers are deposited on top of one another in the sequence in which they were separated out for forming a detected stack. An identifier is stored that identifies the detected stack together with the temporarily stored cover information.

BOOK BINDING ASSEMBLY METHOD
A method of providing a book binding assembly in the form of a stack of hardcovers for making hardcover books, with the hardcovers having pressure sensitive adhesives on both sides for securing a cover wrap onto the hardcovers. Liner sheets are disposed over the upper hardcover and intermediate the hardcovers of the stack to protect the various adhesive elements. The liner sheet is then used to accurately apply a cover wrap to the hardcover on which the liner sheet is disposed.

Apparatus and method for automated production of book covers and/or box lids
The invention relates to a case maker comprising a cardboard feed, a blank feed, a glue applicator, the joining device, a turn-in device, a delivery unit and a control unit, with a spreading device of the cardboard feed being arranged downstream of a first cardboard cutting mechanism in the product flow in order to position the cardboard blanks produced from a common cardboard sheet by means of the first cardboard cutting mechanism spaced apart from one another.
