Book workstation for paired users
11446948 · 2022-09-20 ·

A book workstation includes a left cover and a right cover, a center spine, and pages sequentially arranged and bound to the center spine. The workbook includes at least one of: a) a left-side underlay and a left-side overlay, each bound to the left-side cover via a left-side spine, or b) a right-side underlay and a right-side overlay, each bound to the right-side cover via a right-side spine. In an open position, the pages can be split into left and right stacks. Indicia on a top page of the left stack are equivalent to indicia on a top page of the right stack. Relative orientations of the indicia enable each of a pair of users to view the indicia on one of the pages at the same time. Each underlay and overlay can be interleaved between pages of one stack, or placed on the top page of that stack.

A ridged paged book has an interleaved book binding that incorporates page binding couplers that extend from one page to the other along a binding side to enable each page to open and close. A cover binding coupler extends from the front and/or back cover to an adjacent page and may have a cover portion that is longer than a page portion. This longer cover portion may extend along the recess of the cover to provide stability of the cover binding. Pins extend through the covers and pages along a binding side and into the binding couplers to create a durable binding for the rigid paged book. A ridged paged book may have an interleaved book binding configured proximal to a top and/or bottom edge. A ridged paged book may be made out of metal including the covers and pages and the couplers and pins.

20210300104 · 2021-09-30 ·

A book device structure for any and all book devices wherein one or more first attachments are operatively connected to either the front cover, back cover, or one or more internal pages, such that the attachments are functional and may be engaged with by a user of the device. The first attachments resemble a human or nonhuman leg or arm, such that the collective book device structure takes the form of a human or nonhuman character, figure, or individual. When applied to a written, printed, fillable, or blank literary or graphic work, whether published or not, the addition of one or more of these functional attachments to the book device produces unique functionality and a structure that resembles what is referred to as a “Book Character” device structure.
