Merchandising Ornament
The present disclosure provides a merchandising ornament. The merchandising ornament includes a stone at least semitransparent, a near-field communication (NFC) chip, an upper decal, and a lower covering. NFC chip is coupled to the stone and configured to store touchpoint information to transfer to a receiving device. The stone includes a generally planar base. The upper decal has a top face and a bottom face with the top face bearing a design and being adhered to at least a portion of the planar base of the stone. The design on the front face is visible through the stone. The lower covering has a top face and a bottom face with the top face of the lower covering being adhered to the bottom face of the upper decal such that the near-field communication chip is secured and concealed between the upper decal and the lower covering.

A security-enhanced document including a substrate, variable indica applied to an area of a first side of the substrate, a scratch-off-coating applied over the variable indicia to maintain the variable indicia unreadable until the scratch-off-coating is removed by being scratched off, and digital imaging applied to an area of a reverse side of the substrate from the variable indicia, wherein the digital imaging applied to the area of the reverse side of the substrate includes the same materials as the variable indicia, is uniformly spread over the area of the reverse side of the substrate, and such that the digital imaging overlaps at least 50% of the variable indica applied to the area of the first side of the substrate, such that the variable indicia exhibits an insufficient signal-to-noise ratio relative to the signal-to-noise ratio of the digital imaging on the reverse side of the substrate so that the variable indicia cannot be discerned so long as the scratch-off-coating remains intact.

The invention comprises a printing method, comprising the steps of: marking a markable surface with a graphical code; loading into a plotter system the markable surface; receiving a print job related to the graphical code; and plotting the set of vectors on the markable surface, such as by identifying a particular media type of the markable surface with the graphical code, receiving into the plotter system a print job, the print job comprising: (1) the set of vectors; and (2) a printable media requirement; scanning, with the plotter system, the printable media code; and confirming the printable media requirement matches the particular media type.
