The control method comprises the following steps: under a navigation operating environment of the cleaning robot, controlling the image acquisition device to capture images in real time; analyzing at least one captured image; and controlling behaviors of the cleaning robot based on analyzed results and according to a preset cleaning mode, wherein the cleaning mode comprises a cleaning mode corresponding to an underexposure region. In the present application, users can clean some certain regions depending on requirements, thereby realizing the aim of separated-area cleaning according to the requirements of users.

The splash shields define a top and sides of the electronics compartment, and the drip shield defines a bottom side of the electronics compartment and includes at least one drip hole smaller than 2 mm in diameter. A wire opening in the splash shields includes a protective cover overlying the opening, the protective covering containing at least one passage facing in a direction opposite to the solution tank allowing a wire to pass through the passage, through the wire opening, and into the electronics compartment. Fluid lines extend from the outlet towards a bottom of the cleaning device and exterior to the electronics compartment. An enclosed electronics unit may also include wire openings and protective covers.

The pad includes a core of absorbent layers for absorbing liquid through capillary action and for distributing the liquid within the cleaning pad. The pad includes a wrap layer around the core, the wrap layer comprising a fibrous layer that is flexible and absorbent, the fibrous layer configured to absorb liquid through capillary action and transfer the liquid to the core. The pad includes one or more transition regions spanning a cleaning width of the cleaning pad, the one or more transition regions dividing the cleaning pad into at least two segments. The forward positioned segment of the pad, of the at least two segments of the pad, has a lesser thickness compared to a thickness of an aft positioned segment of the at least two segments.

A surface cleaning apparatus includes a housing including an upright handle assembly and a base mounted to the upright handle assembly and adapted for movement across a surface to be cleaned. An interference wiper interfaces with a portion of the brushroll to remove excess liquid from the brushroll.
