A surface cleaning apparatus includes a steam delivery system, a liquid delivery system, and a recovery system. The steam delivery system may include a steam dispenser having one outlet to dispense steam toward the surface to be cleaned and another outlet to dispense steam away from the surface to be cleaned as visible steam vapor. The apparatus may have multiple cleaning modes, including a mode where liquid is dispensed and a mode where liquid and steam are dispensed. Methods for operating a surface cleaning apparatus and for self-cleaning a surface cleaning apparatus are also provided.

Self-cleaning features for extraction cleaners and attachments for extraction cleaners, such as accessory tools, wands, and/or hoses, are provided. The self-cleaning features are configured redirect cleaning fluid from a fluid supply system of the extraction cleaner into a working air or fluid recovery path of the extraction cleaner, including, but not limited to into the working air or fluid recovery path of a tool, wand, and/or hose of the extraction cleaner.

Disclosed herein is the next step in cleaning evolution with my new Automatic Multi-Attachment Changing Station (AMACS). The AMACS System has three separate product lines that combine the best of all worlds, hands free, with computer touch screen integration.

A handheld extractor that includes a housing, a supply tank adjacent a first side of the housing, and a recovery tank adjacent a second side of the housing. A cleaning chamber is in the third side of the housing. A fluid flow path is between the supply tank and the cleaning chamber. The cleaning chamber receives a suction nozzle and a suction source provides suction through a hose and the second fluid flow path to extract the cleaning fluid from the supply tank, along the fluid flow path into the cleaning chamber, through the hose and into the recovery tank to flush the cleaning fluid through the hose to clean the hose when the suction nozzle is received in the cleaning chamber.

A handheld extractor that includes a housing, a supply tank adjacent a first side of the housing, and a recovery tank adjacent a second side of the housing. A cleaning chamber is in the third side of the housing. A fluid flow path is between the supply tank and the cleaning chamber. The cleaning chamber receives a suction nozzle and a suction source provides suction through a hose and the second fluid flow path to extract the cleaning fluid from the supply tank, along the fluid flow path into the cleaning chamber, through the hose and into the recovery tank to flush the cleaning fluid through the hose to clean the hose when the suction nozzle is received in the cleaning chamber.

A surface cleaning apparatus comprises a brushroll that rotates about an axis. The brushroll defines a cylindrical portion and the axis extends centrally through the cylindrical portion. The brushroll also includes a rib that extends in a direction away from the axis. The rib includes a face extending along a line that is collinear with a secant through the cylindrical portion. A brush member extends from the face.

A nozzle of a cleaner includes a nozzle body, a rotation cleaning part having a rotation plate to which a rag is attached, a driving device provided in the nozzle body, a water tank, a water supply passage, and a water adjuster of which at least a portion is mounted on the nozzle body at a rear side thereof so as to be exposed to a rear surface or a top surface of the nozzle body. A user standing on the same floor surface as the nozzle body may manipulate the water adjuster by using his or her foot. The water adjuster can adjust an on/off operation and a rotational speed (e.g., rpm) of the pump motor.
