A writing implement is configured to dispense material onto a work surface. The writing implement includes a body having a first end, a second end, and an inner surface. The writing implement also includes a nib coupled to the first end. The nib is configured to allow the material to be dispensed onto the work piece. The writing implement further includes a pressure regulating assembly coupled to the body. The pressure regulating assembly and the inner surface define a cavity configured to hold the material. The pressure regulating assembly is moveable relative to the body in response to a pressure change within the cavity.

An applicator in which an applying body consisting of a brush is surely attached to a front barrel to solve a problem that a part of the brush remains stuck inside the front barrel to cause failure of attachment when the applying body is being attached to the front barrel. The applicator includes a front barrel provided on the front end side of a rear barrel, and an applying body formed of a brush with a flange portion at its rear end and arranged inside the front barrel. A receiving part of the flange portion of the applying body and the inner face of the front barrel are in contact with each other in a non-surface contact manner.

The present invention provides: a highly practical and safe oil-based ink composition for a writing board, said composition being capable of imparting high mark-erasability and having excellent resistance to drying up; and a marking pen incorporating the same. Specifically, the present invention provides: an oil-based ink composition for a writing board, said composition containing a pigment, an organic solvent, a resin, and at least one compound selected from compounds represented by general formula (1) or (2); and a marking pen obtained by incorporating the oil-based ink composition for a writing board. (In the formulae, R.sup.1-R.sup.4 each represent a C6-18 alkyl group or a C2-18 and O2-10 alkoxypolyglycol group.)
