A barrel assembly according to an embodiment includes one barrel having an annular engaging projection; and another barrel having an engaging projection that protrudes toward the annular engaging projection of the one barrel, wherein the engaging projection of the other barrel has an engaging edge that protrudes in a direction of engagement, the engaging edge further has a protruding molded part that further protrudes from the engaging edge in the direction of engagement, and the protruding molded part of the engaging edge of the other barrel engages with the annular engaging projection of the one barrel.

MECHANICAL PENCIL
20190308442 · 2019-10-10 ·

A mechanical pencil according to an embodiment includes a barrel; and a chucking/feed-out mechanism chucking and feeding out a writing lead for a mechanical pencil, the chucking/feed-out mechanism configured to include a chuck, a chuck ring, and a chuck spring and being substantially housed in the barrel, wherein the barrel has a first level difference on an inner circumferential surface thereof, the chucking/feed-out mechanism has a second level difference opposing the first level difference, and when a prescribed load in an axial direction is applied to the writing lead for a mechanical pencil, the first level difference and the second level difference engage with each other in the axial direction to reduce an output of the chuck spring with respect to the chucking/feed-out mechanism and relax the chuck on the writing lead for a mechanical pencil by the chuck and the chuck ring.

Mechanical pencil

A mechanical pencil has: a shaft tube; a ferrule unit supported by the shaft tube; a lead holding unit having a chuck configured to relatively move with respect to the ferrule unit to eject lead held by the same; and an indication body provided movably in an axial direction. The indication body delimits from rearward a lead storage space formed rearward the chuck in the shaft tube. The indication body located at least at a predetermined position is viewable from outside the shaft tube. A length along the axial direction between a rear end of the lead storage space and a front end of the ferrule unit, in a state where the indication body has moved most rearward along the axial direction, is equal to or more than twice a length of spare lead to be stored in the lead storage space.

Writing instrument

A writing instrument according to an embodiment of the invention including, a chuck that chucks a writing lead, wherein the chuck includes a first chuck pawl which comes into point contact or line contact with the writing lead to press the writing lead so as to apply first contact stress to the writing lead; and a second chuck pawl which presses the writing lead so as to apply, to the writing lead, second contact stress that is lower than the first contact stress, and the first contact stress is configured such that, when a prescribed impact is applied to the writing lead, a contact portion of the writing lead subjected to the first contact stress fractures and absorbs the prescribed impact.

Variable density device profile

The description relates to devices. One example device can involve a mesh structure with a density profile varying from a first end of the mesh structure to a second end of the mesh structure.

A novel method for making decorative structures, specifically for use as writing instruments composed of a novel material composition that scatters and reflects light to exhibit a particular visual effect, i.e. a glitter effect. The composition is made of one or a combination of a number of different resins combined with a mica dust and/or a diamond dust. The resin is an organic compound and in composed partially or entirely from epoxide, polyester and/or polyurethane. Other additives can be added to the resin to enhance the visual effect including ground glass and dyes or pigments.

Spinning writing instruments

Disclosed herein embodiments for a writing instrument operable to spin around its lateral axis while held on opposite sites. An embodiment includes a barrel, a first bearing coupled to an interior side of the barrel and a second bearing coupled to an interior opposite side of the barrel. A first stub protrudes from a side of the barrel, the stub being in contact with the bearing so as to allow the stub to spin around a lateral axis of the barrel, the lateral axis comprising an axis perpendicular to a length of the barrel. A second stub protrudes from an opposite side of the barrel, the second stub being in contact with the second bearing so as to allow the second stub to spin around the lateral axis of the barrel.

WRITING IMPLEMENT WITH MAGNETIC COMPONENT
