An improved hand held pen holding sleeve comprising a rigid barrel with a through bore abutting a deformable finger grip element also with a through bore. The pen holding sleeve is devoid of an ink reservoir or ink cartridge. The through bore of the pen holding sleeve is sized and configured to accept disposable stick pens and common pencils as the refill element. The deformable finger grip element is removable from the rigid barrel. The deformable finger grip element, formed of an elastomer, is the sole means for capturing and retaining the refill element within the pen holding sleeve.

A device is provided for supporting writing instruments on vertical surfaces such as boards or flip charts. The device has a ring where the writing instrument is inserted and means of adhesion the vertical surface.

A writing instrument with no moving parts comprising of a rigid primary barrel (2) abutting a deformable elastomeric finger grip element (6) both with a communicating longitudinal through bore (4) (20) devoid of any ink cartridge or refill. The through bore of the primary barrel (4) is formed to accept a common disposable stick pen or common pencil (16). The through bore (20) of the elastomeric finger grip element (6) is formed to be slightly narrower in diameter than the outside diameter of a disposable stick pen (16) or pencil and thus captures an inserted stick pen by way of friction. The elastomeric grip is the sole means for retaining a stick pen or pencil used as a refill within the writing instrument barrel. The primary barrel has formed to it an integral, parallel, secondary barrel (12) that retains a ball chain (14) or cable to be secured to an object or a work station to discourage theft.

The present invention provides tablets with interconnection features and a system of multiple tablet assemblies removably interconnected to one another. The tablets may be removably mounted to a vertical surface or positioned on a horizontal surface. Features of the present invention allow a user to remove or move one tablet from the system without disrupting or moving the other tablets.

An apparatus for connecting a writing implement to a glassboard, whiteboard or the like is provided. The apparatus has a housing adapted to be connected to a writing implement. The housing has a side surface with an opening formed therein and a recess extending from the opening into the housing. A magnet is disposed in the recess and has a first pole at the opening. The magnet provides a magnetic field in a direction away from the side surface of the housing. The apparatus enables a side periphery of a writing implement coupled with the apparatus to magnetically couple with the glassboard, whiteboard or the like in a predetermined orientation regardless of the initial orientation of approach of the writing implement even in the presence of a similarly magnetically self-supporting writing implement or object.

A marking apparatus facilitates blind mounting of an object to a mounting surface in a desired alignment using the object as an alignment template. One end of the apparatus is configured to be affixed to a mounting slot or edge of the object, then the other end used to mark the appropriate supporting fastener location on the mounting surface. The object's mounting slots or edges may be represented by mounting hardware components that are flush with, recessed in, or protruding from the local planar surface of the object. To accommodate a broad variety of mounting conditions and mounting hardware, certain embodiments of the apparatus may include selectively adjustable or interchangeable head adapters, distinct head and retention configurations and/or a hardware relief channel A channel adapter is disclosed for use with embodiments of the apparatus having a hardware relief channel. Embodiments of a slot- securable point marking tool are also disclosed.

An eraser includes a body portion defining a plurality of passages configured to hold a plurality of writing implements. The eraser may further include an eraser portion forming a side of the body portion. The eraser may further include an attachment portion forming a second side the body portion. The attachment portion may be configured to releasably secure the eraser to a writable surface formed from a non-magnetic material. An eraser kit may include the eraser and a plurality of writing implements. In a first configuration, the eraser may releasably secured to a writable surface using the attachment portion. In a second configuration, the eraser may be engaged with the writable surface to modify markings using the eraser portion.

The present invention relates generally to the field of writing notebooks and tablets, in particular a magnetic notebook and magnetic writing utensil system. The system includes a notebook with a magnetic zone disposed in one or both of the front and rear cover, and a magnetic writing utensil which can be attached to either cover. Further, the magnetic writing utensil has an integrated LED light that illuminates the writing surface and the tip of the utensil.

A filer is disclosed which has front panel and rear panel defining a storage compartment therebetween, the storage compartment having a width. The filer includes a cover coupled to the rear panel and releasably attachable to the front panel to generally cover or seal the storage compartment. A distal portion of the cover has a width that is about equal to or smaller than the width of the storage compartment to allow the distal portion of the front cover to be received in the storage compartment.

An elastic band, at least a portion of which is elastic and including a woven slit made in the elastic band to hold an object. The band can also have two woven slits which form an elastic loop which can be used to hold an object, such as a writing implement or other tool.
