Disclosed is a pen for writing, referred to as a palm pen herein because the body of the pen fits into the palm of a human hand. The palm pen can include a spherically shaped body, and an ink delivery system. The ink delivery system can include a tip having an end connected to the body and an opposite end comprising a nib, an ink conduit having an end coupled to the nib within the tip and an opposite end extending inside the body, and a first ink cartridge fluidly coupled with the opposite end of the ink conduit and contained within the body. The ink delivery system can additionally include a cartridge holder having an active cartridge slot for the first ink cartridge and cartridge storage slots for storage of additional ink cartridges.

A beat recording pen for the recording and editing music and while serving as writing instrument. The device includes a retractable writing instrument disposed in an elongated shaft designed to house a power supply designed to provide electrical power to a transceiver that can transmit and receive digital signals to and from a connected mobile device or computer. The beat recording pen further includes an impact sensor that can detect an audio input signal of an impact event and convert the audio input signal into a digital signal. A micro-controller is disposed within the pen and can record the converted audio input signals detected by the impact sensor and interface with a software application installed on a connected mobile device or computer.

The present invention teaches that a custom designed tool might serve as a marker cap for a standard size and diameter of marker such as a Sharpie® or Revmark® brand marker, along with an LED or low light LED or dim red LED or even infrared LED, and a hex drive socket which could then be used with an appropriate size of hex bit (such as a BITHEX™ tool head) for the exact size of adjustment screw heads found on any particular laser gun aiming device. The present invention relates to a method of calculating a surgical intervention plan. Based on surface data of the patient, a surface representation of a part of the patient's body is created. From a database, a plurality of surgical methods may be selected and the geometrical parameters of a surgical plan can be adapted based on each individual surgical method.
