AQUEOUS HARD SURFACE CLEANERS BASED ON TERPENES AND FATTY ACID DERIVATIVES
Aqueous hard surface cleaner compositions useful for removing permanent ink are disclosed. The compositions comprise 75 to 99 wt. % of water; 0.1 to 5 wt. % of a monoterpene; 0.1 to 5 wt. % of a C.sub.10-C.sub.17 fatty acid derivative; and 0.1 to 5 wt. % of one or more surfactants. The fatty acid derivative is selected from N,N-dialkyl amides, N,N-dialkyl esteramines, and N,N-dialkyl amidoamines. Preferably, a base such as sodium carbonate or monoethanolamine is also included. The invention includes concentrates comprising the non-aqueous components recited above, as well as other applications for the cleaners and concentrates such as graffiti removers and permanent ink erasers. The combination of a monoterpene and certain fatty acid derivatives, especially fatty N,N-dialkyl amides, unexpectedly enables even dilute aqueous compositions to rapidly decolorize black permanent marker from hard, non-porous surfaces.

INSTRUMENT, SUCH AS A WRITING PEN, MAKE-UP PEN, TOOL OR TOY AND METHOD FOR USING SUCH AN INSTRUMENT
An instrument includes a body, at least two modules, each separate from the one or other modules, including an operative portion and being movable relative to the body and, for each module, a mechanism for guiding the translation and rotation of the module along the body, the module being movable relative to the body, successively in translation parallel to a first axis and in rotation about a second axis perpendicular to the first axis and which is rigidly connected to the body, between an inoperative configuration in which the operative portion of the module is housed inside the body and a use configuration in which the operative portion of the module projects from the body. The two modules or two of the modules are arranged on either side of a single arm of the body, which extends along the first axis from a base to an end of the body.

DECOLORIZING APPARATUS
A decolorizing apparatus includes a translucent heater, a casing, and a controller. The translucent heater is configured to generate heat according to an applied voltage. The casing is configured to support the translucent heater. The controller is configured to apply a voltage to the translucent heater. The voltage is associated with a temperature at which a thermochromic colorant.
Marker for Optical Mark Response Forms
A writing instrument includes a first reservoir for dispensing a first fluid having a first property of reflectivity. A first tip member is in fluid connection with the first reservoir. The first tip member has an end with a size and shape that corresponds to a response area of the response form. A second reservoir can be used for dispensing a second fluid, which is capable of modifying the first property of reflectivity when covering the first fluid. A second tip member is in fluid connection with the second reservoir. The second tip member has an end with a size and shape that corresponds to the response area of the response form.
HEATING ERASER FOR REMOVING THERMALLY CHANGEABLE INK
The heating eraser for removing thermally changeable ink comprises a heating eraser unit that removes or changes a color by instantaneously applying heat at 50 to 65 C. as a color changing temperature range of a phase transition material selectively along a handwriting written or drawn by a writing instrument using the thermally changeable ink containing thermally changeable fine particles of 10 wt % to 70 wt % including a core portion containing the transition material including a phenol-based compound containing an aliphatic functional group having carbon atoms of 6 or more and a shell layer covering the core portion and made of a polymer resin on a substrate.
