A magnetic erasable writable material for large format applications is disclosed, and includes a cast polyvinylchloride film with a mount surface opposite an etched receiver surface. Also incorporated is a transparent polyester film that has a marking side with a first predetermined hardness and an opposite seal side, laminated to the receiver surface. The marking side includes a clear superstrate that has a second predetermined hardness and applied to the marking side of the polyester film to lower its surface energy. The receiver surface is treated to have a surface energy adjusted to enable improved adherence of printed and preformed graphic elements, which are encapsulated when laminated between the PET film and receiver surface. The superstrate includes a perfluoropolyether, a polyurethane, an acrylated polyurethane, and/or an acrylate resin to harden the material.

Hardcoat Composition Comprising Methyl or Ethyl Trialkoxy Silane, Articles and Methods

Articles are described comprising a substrate and a hardcoat layer disposed on the substrate. The hardcoat layer comprises the hydrolyzed and condensed reaction product of a composition comprising: i) first hydrophobic silane monomer(s) having the formula R.sup.1Si(OR).sub.3 wherein R and R.sup.1 is methyl or ethyl; ii) optional second silane monomer(s) having the formula (R.sup.2).sub.4-mSi(OR).sub.m or Si(OR).sub.4, wherein R, R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are organic groups with the proviso that R.sup.1 is not methyl or ethyl and m ranges from 1 to 3. The hardcoat layer N may further comprises 10 to 30 wt. % silica nanoparticles. A surface layer comprising a hydrophilic silane may be disposed on the hardcoat layer. Also described is a method of using an article having a rewritable surface, hardcoat coating compositions, and methods of making hardcoat compositions and articles.

Coating compositions useable to form markable-erasable coatings and surfaces on a wide range of substrates are disclosed. The coating compositions generally include a first silane monomer, and one or both of a second silane monomer and a metal oxide. The compositions may include 40-100 wt. % of the one or more silane monomers and up to 60 wt. % of the metal oxide based on the total solids weight in the coating composition, and an acid catalyst and a sufficient amount of water to form hydrolysates of the silane monomers. The first silane monomer may include a trialkoxy functional silane, and the second silane monomer may include a tetraalkoxy silane. The coating composition may be provided as a two-component system that does not cure to form a hardened coating until the two components are mixed. Articles coated with the coating, and methods of forming markable-erasable articles are also disclosed.

IDENTIFYING AND REDACTING CAPTURED DATA

An evidence ecosystem that includes a capture system that detects physical properties in the environment around the capture system and captures data related to the physical properties. The capture system analyzes the captured data in accordance with patterns to detect characteristics and patterns in the captured data. Upon detecting a characteristic or a pattern, the capture system records the identified data and alignment data that identifies the location of the identified data in the captured data. The capture system sends the captured data, identified data, and alignment data to an evidence management system for use in generating reports and producing redacted copies of the captured data for distribution or presentation.
