A carrier for one or more straws of an appliance such as a dish washing appliance. The carrier and/or rack may be in fluid communication with one or more spray elements when in a stowed position within a dishwasher tub. The one or more carriers may route fluid from the one or more spray elements to wash an interior and/or an exterior of at least one straw. The wash water guide includes a main wash water guide, a plurality of sub wash water guides respectively branched from the main wash water guide, and a plurality of connection parts connecting the main wash water guide to the plurality of sub wash water guides, and an angle between at least one connection part of the plurality of connection parts and the main wash water guide is an acute angle.

A dishwasher includes: a tub defining a washing space, a sump disposed at a lower portion of the washing space and configured receive water, a plurality of nozzles disposed at the washing space and configured to spray the water received in the sump toward an object in an upward direction, and a wash water guide configured to supply the water in the sump to each of the plurality of nozzles and disposed at the washing space. Disclosed herein is a dishwasher. The dishwasher includes a washing chamber, a spray unit configured to spray wash water into the washing chamber, a distribution chamber including a lower port through which wash water flows in and out, a distribution cover configured to cover the distribution chamber and including an upper port connected to the spray unit to supply the wash water in the distribution chamber to the spray unit, a guide member connected to the lower port of the distribution chamber so as to guide wash water, and a support detachably coupled to a lower side of the distribution chamber. The support includes a holder formed in a hollow shape and configured to hold one side of the guide member, and a coupler formed on the holder to fix the guide member so as to allow the guide member to correspond to the lower port through the holder.

Disclosed herein is a dishwasher. The dishwasher includes a washing chamber, a spray unit configured to spray wash water into the washing chamber, a distribution chamber including a lower port through which wash water flows in and out, a distribution cover configured to cover the distribution chamber and including an upper port connected to the spray unit to supply the wash water in the distribution chamber to the spray unit, a guide member connected to the lower port of the distribution chamber so as to guide wash water, and a support detachably coupled to a lower side of the distribution chamber. The support includes a holder formed in a hollow shape and configured to hold one side of the guide member, and a coupler formed on the holder to fix the guide member so as to allow the guide member to correspond to the lower port through the holder.

The present application relates to a system for dispensing a detergent solution from a solid detergent into a dishwasher said dishwasher comprising a washing chamber and being capable of performing cleaning cycles each including washing and rinsing periods; the system including a dispenser for dissolving solid detergent blocks and dispensing detergent solution, wherein the dispenser is configured to accommodate solid detergent, to be removably retrofittable into the dishwasher, and, to allow continuous release of all detergent solution as it is formed. In various applications the system may include a battery-powered control unit and a conductivity sensor, configured to measure the conductivity of the washing liquid and to provide the measured conductivity value to the control unit, said control unit is configured to process the conductivity value and to produce a signal.

A pump includes a housing, a water inlet pipe coupled to the housing and configured to receive washing water, a water outlet pipe coupled to the housing and configured to discharge washing water, an impeller located in the housing and configured to cause washing water to be transferred from the water inlet pipe to the water outlet pipe, a heater that is coupled to the housing, that is configured to heat washing water in the housing, and that is configured to generate steam based on heating washing water, and a steam discharge pipe coupled to the water outlet pipe and configured to discharge steam generated by the heater.
