HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE
Disclosed is a household appliance comprising: a door; a door lock unit equipped with a hook part which is configured to unlock and open the door by moving outward; a motor configured to generate torque by using electricity; a driving gear unit which has a rotary shaft at one end portion and is configured to rotate by receiving the torque from the motor, wherein the one end portion pushes the hook unit to the outside of the door lock unit to open the door when the driving gear unit rotates in one direction; a sensing unit configured to sense the displacement of the other end portion of the driving gear unit when the hook unit moves to the inside of the door lock unit, wherein the other end portion rotates in the opposite direction about the rotary shaft of the driving gear unit; and a control unit configured to control the operation of the motor on the basis of the displacement, sensed by the sensing unit, of the other end of the driving gear unit.
HINGE FOR DOORS OF ELECTRICAL HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCES
Described is a hinge for doors of electrical household appliances, including a first element and a second element pivoted to each other and movable relative to each other in tilting fashion, the first and second elements being fixable one to a frame and the other to a door of an electrical household appliance, for making the door movable with respect to the frame between a closed position and an open position, a lever for connection between the first and the second closing elements, the lever being pivoted on the first element, an elastic element operatively connected to the lever to oppose the weight force of the door during its opening.
Light emitting device in door for cooking appliance and cooking appliance including the same
A light-emitting device is provided for a cooking appliance that includes a body that defines a cooking chamber having an opening, and a door configured to open and close at least a portion of the opening of the cooking chamber. The light-emitting device includes a light-emitting member that is located on at least one of the door or the body, that faces a gap defined between an edge portion of the door and a front portion of the body, and that is configured to emit light of a predetermined color in response to operation of the cooking chamber, and a reflective portion that extends from the front portion of the body, that is configured to receive light from the light-emitting member through the gap, and that is configured to direct light in a direction away from the door.
SYSTEM COMPRISING A DISHWASHER, AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A DISHWASHER
A system includes a dishwasher accommodating an item to be washed, a control device carrying out a washing program of a number of washing programs for washing the item, an optical sensor acquiring an optical sensor signal of the item, and a determining unit determining a possibility for washing the item as a function of the acquired sensor signal. The possibility for washing is embodied as a first positive possibility for washing that specifies which one of the washing programs is useable to wash the item, or as a second positive possibility for washing that specifies which one of the washing programs and/or which of a number of aids are useable to wash the item, or as a negative possibility for washing that specifies that the dishwasher is unsuitable for washing the item. An output unit outputs a recommendation to a user based on the possibility being determined for washing.
FILTER DEVICE FOR A WATER-BEARING DOMESTIC APPLIANCE, A WATER-BEARING DOMESTIC APPLIANCE WITH A FILTER DEVICE AND A METHOD FOR FILTERING WATER WITH A FILTER DEVICE
A filter device for a water-bearing domestic appliance which has a surface filter with a sleeve shape, a support structure for said surface filter and a flow-through filter housing with filter inlet and filter outlet. The surface filter is held stably on the support structure, which has through-flow openings and a central opening at the end. A first flow path for water leads into the support structure and out again through the through-flow openings and the surface filter. A second flow path leads into the support structure and out again only through the central opening. The support structure is designed circumferential and is formed by support ribs which between them comprise the through-flow openings. The surface filter is attached or pressed onto the outside of the support structure in such a way that it covers the through-flow openings and rests on the outside of the support ribs.
DISH WASHER
A dish washer includes: a tub configured to receive an object to be washed and providing a washing space having an opening at a front side of the tub, a door configured to rotate relative to the tub between (i) a closing position that closes the opening of the washing space and (ii) a full opening position that exposes an entirety of the opening of the washing space, and a door position sensing part configured to sense a position of the door. The door position sensing part is configured to sense whether the door moves from the closing position and whether the door reaches a predetermined risk area start position set between the closing position and the full opening position.
DISH WASHER
A dish washer includes: a tub configured to receive an object to be washed and providing a washing space having an opening at a front side of the tub, a door configured to rotate relative to the tub between (i) a closing position that closes the opening of the washing space and (ii) a full opening position that exposes an entirety of the opening of the washing space, a door position sensor configured to sense a position of the door, a dry air supply configured to selectively generate a high-temperature dry air or a low-temperature dry air and supply the high-temperature dry air or the low-temperature dry air into the tub, and a controller configured to determine, based on the position of the door sensed by the door position sensor, whether to supply the high-temperature dry air or the low-temperature dry air.
DISHWASHER
A dishwasher comprises a tub that defines a wash space configured to accommodate one or more objects to be washed, a sump that is configured to store wash water, a water supply pump that supplies the wash water to the tub, a base that is disposed below the tub, and provides a space to accommodate the sump and the water supply pump, an air supply device that is configured to supply air to the tub, a first filter that is disposed at the base and in fluid communication with the tub and the air supply device, a second filter that is disposed at the base and in fluid communication with the tub, and a water supply that is connected to the second filter and configured to supply the wash water.
DIRECT CURRENT LOAD IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM
An appliance, as provided herein, can include a direct current load and a current sensing circuit that can be coupled to the direct current load. The current sensing circuit can be configured to collect electrical data corresponding to the direct current load. The appliance can include one or more processors that can be coupled to the current sensing circuit. The one or more processors can be configured to identify at least one attribute of the direct current load based, at least in part, on the electrical data and activate at least one operation of the direct current load or the appliance based, at least in part, on identification of the at least one attribute of the direct current load.
CONTROL OF CLEANING MACHINE CYCLES USING MACHINE VISION
Image classification is used to dynamically control one or more wash parameters in an automated cleaning machine. An imaging device installed in the wash chamber of the cleaning machine captures one or more image(s) of articles to be cleaned at various times throughout a cleaning process. A computing device analyzes the captured image(s) to classify the images as to an article type and a rack volume. Based on the article type classification and the rack volume, the computing device dynamically controls one or more parameters of the cleaning process to achieve a satisfactory cleaning and/or sanitizing result.
