Dishwasher

The present disclosure relates to a dishwasher for washing the dishes and the cooking utensils by spraying washing water and steam. The dishwasher according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a tub which accommodates a washing object, a sump which is disposed in a bottom of the tub and stores washing water, a spray arm which sprays the washing water into the tub, a washing pump which sends the washing water stored in the sump to the spray arm, and a check valve which is disposed between the sump and the washing pump and opened in a direction of the washing pump from the sump.

Method for operating a pump

A pump of a dishwasher has an integrated heating element, a pump chamber with an inlet and an outlet, a pump rotor inside the pump chamber and a drive motor, wherein the heating element and a temperature sensor are provided on a wall of the pump chamber. For measuring a calcification of the pump chamber it is filled with water and then the pump rotor rotates for mixing the water in the pump chamber without transporting water out of the pump chamber. The temperature of the water in the pump chamber is measured with the temperature sensor as a starting temperature, and then the heating element is activated to heat the water in the pump chamber while the temperature of the water in the pump chamber is measured. Then the heating element is deactivated and the maximum temperature of the water during the heating duration or directly afterwards is determined. A temperature relation between the maximum temperature and the starting temperature of the water is calculated. These steps are executed in the pump at the very beginning of an operation of the new dishwasher after its installation for determining an initial temperature relation. These steps are automatically executed again at a later stage for determining a later temperature relation to determine the heating efficiency of the pump by comparing the later temperature relation to the initial temperature relation.

Domestic dishwasher

A household dishwasher includes a washing container receiving a dishwasher load, a pump pot, and a spray arm for applying washing liquor and/or fresh water to the dishwasher load in the washing container. The spray arm is actively driven by a drive system and mounted on the pump pot for rotation about an axis of rotation. The spray arm has a rib geometry that revolves around the axis of rotation and includes an encoding groove running along the axis of rotation. The pump pot includes an encoding rib running along the axis of rotation and corresponding to the encoding groove. The encoding rib is configured for passage through the encoding groove along the axis of rotation during assembly and disassembly of the spray arm so as to enable the spray arm to be assembled on and disassembled from the pump pot in precisely one angular position.

Semi-automatic ware washing sprayer system

A control box for a sprayer system is provided. The control box may include a wash flow path, a wash flow solenoid disposed in the wash flow path, a detergent supply assembly disposed in wash flow path, a rinse flow path, a rinse flow solenoid disposed in the rinse flow path, a common flow path, a flow switch disposed in the common flow path, an alternating relay, and a connection valve leading to a discharge flow path. The flow switch may be configured to provide a signal to the alternating relay. The alternating relay may be configured to control both the wash flow solenoid and the rinse flow solenoid. The connection valve may receive both the wash flow path and the rinse flow path. In another embodiment, a sprayer system including a control box and a sprayer unit is provided.

A hydraulic control device for liquid-conducting appliances and systems is designed for connection between a source of liquid and an appliance or system using the liquid. The hydraulic control device (1) comprises: —a device body (2′, 3′) having a duct for the liquid (30a, 30b) that extends between an inlet connector (2a) and an outlet connector (3 a); —a flow meter (40, 50) associated to the device body (2\ 3′); and—a valve arrangement (31, 33-37) associated to the device body (2′, 3′), including a valve member (31), which is displaceable between an opening position and a closing position of the duct for the liquid (30a, 30b), and a control mechanism (33-37) for controlling the valve member (31). The control mechanism (33-37) is switchable on the basis of a detection made by the flow meter (40, 50) in order to displace the valve member (31) from the opening position to the closing position of the duct for the liquid (30a, 30b). The flow meter (40, 50) is a non-mechanical flow meter that includes at least two electrical detection elements (42) that are reachable by liquid that flows in the duct for the liquid (30a, 30b).
