CRAYON CARVING DEVICE

Devices, kits, and methods for making a carved crayon are provided. In one aspect, a crayon carving device includes a base, a pantograph armature coupled to the base, a crayon positioner, and at least one guide template parallel to the crayon positioner. The pantograph armature includes a motorized drive shaft with a drill tip for carving an outside surface of a crayon body, as well as a guide tip for tracing along a guide template that directs where the drill tip carves. In some embodiments, the guide template includes a stationary bridge support and a plurality of removable carving bucks that insert into one of multiple openings on the bridge support. The surface features of each of the carving bucks may be traced by the guide tip to generate a corresponding carving on the surface of a crayon body.

The processing apparatus includes a first cartridge including: a first processing tool to form a machining mark by grinding or cutting a surface of a sheet-like object; an actuator to operate by an external power supply and drive the first processing tool; and a first housing to accommodate the first processing tool where a tip of the first processing tool is exposed and accommodate the actuator. The processing apparatus also includes a carriage including a mounting section which the first cartridge is detachably mounted; a transfer mechanism to move the object and the carriage relatively to each other; and a control circuit to control driving of the transfer mechanism to form the machining mark on the surface of the object by the first processing tool.

To support the object the first support assembly includes a set of driven rollers and the second support assembly includes a set of free rollers, each being diagonally offset from the frame. The second support assembly is configured to slidably move on the frame to vary a longitudinal separation between the driven rollers and the free rollers. The second support assembly further includes a vertical adjustment assembly configured to move the free rollers vertically to vary a vertical separation between the driven rollers and the free rollers. In some aspects, the first support assembly also includes a fixed vertical adjustment assembly configured to move the driven rollers vertically to vary a vertical separation between the driven rollers and the free rollers.

Positioning device for cards

The present invention relates to a positioning device for rotatably and rectilinearly positioning a card with respect to a treatment unit having an axis of treatment. The positioning device comprises a card holder for holding a card in a fixed position, wherein the card holder defines a virtual card surface plane coincident with the surface of a card facing the treatment unit once the card is placed in the card holder, and wherein the card holder defines a virtual card center point coincident with the intersection point of the axis of treatment and the virtual card surface plane. The positioning device further comprises a manipulator to which the card holder is attached, wherein the manipulator comprises: a cardanic element with a first axis of rotation and a second axis of rotation; and a virtual pivot point being the intersection of the first and the second axis of rotation.
