Method for producing a strip of three-dimensional decorative piece made of thermoplastic synthetic resin and apparatus for producing the same
A method and an apparatus for producing a long strip of three-dimensional decorative piece made of thermoplastic synthetic resin. The method for producing the strip of three-dimensional decorative piece made of thermoplastic synthetic resin according to the present invention comprises the steps of feeding a decorative strip material, preheating the decorative strip material and softening the decorative strip material with heat, shaping the decorative strip material into a strip of three-dimensional decorative piece by continuously oscillating a high-frequency in between a rotatable upper electrode roll die and a rotatable lower electrode roll die and applying high-frequency dielectric heat to the decorative strip material between the upper and lower electrode roll dies, cooling the shaped strip of three-dimensional decorative piece, and winding up the cooled strip of three-dimensional decorative piece.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR EMBOSSING AND DEBOSSING METALLIC CONTAINERS
Methods and apparatus of decorating metallic containers are provided. More specifically, the present invention provides novel apparatus and methods of forming an indicia or a decorative shape on a closed end-wall of a metallic container body. A tool of one embodiment of the present invention is operable to form an indicia in a metallic sheet. A cupping apparatus can subsequently form a cup from the metallic sheet which includes the indicia. The cup can be formed into a container body by a bodymaker. In another embodiment, a tool of a bodymaker is operable to form an indicia or a decorative shape in a closed end-wall during formation of a metallic container body. The indicia or decorative shape can be formed by coining, punching, embossing, debossing, and other techniques of forming and shaping metal material from which the metallic container body is formed. In this manner, the indicia may include one or more raised portions and sunken portions in the closed end-wall. Optionally, the indicia may enhance the strength of the closed end-wall, such as to prevent or resist buckling and deformation.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING STRUCTURED PRESS ELEMENTS
A method for manufacturing structured press elements comprises at least the following steps: the step of providing an element of metal; the step of providing a mask on a surface of the element for shielding portions of the surface; the step of treating non-shielded portions of the surface of the element; the step of removing the mask; wherein the method comprises at least a step in which the surface of the element is subjected to an ultrasonic treatment and/or that the step of providing the mask comprises at least a treatment with infrared radiation and/or that the step of chemically treating is performed with the surface directed downward.
Sheet material forming
A formed sheet metal material (100) and methods, tools (1, 2, 8) and apparatus for forming the sheet metal material (100) in which a pattern of projections and depressions are cold worked in a first portion (101) and, simultaneously, indicia (103) is embossed in a second portion (102) of the sheet material (100). The cold worked portion (101) is formed with the projections and depression configured and distributed such that lines drawn on a surface of the formed sheet material (100) between adjacent rows of projections and depressions are not rectilinear. The indicia (103) is indicative of the alignment between the tools (1, 2, 8).
GRAPHIC ARTS ASSEMBLY WITH MAGNETIC SUPPORT STRUCTURE
A graphic arts support assembly is operable to be used with a graphic arts plate assembly in a press. The graphic arts support assembly and the plate assembly are configured for removable association with a lift mechanism including a shiftable lift element. The support assembly includes a graphic arts magnetic support structure operable to removably support the graphic arts plate assembly. The magnetic support structure includes a support plate, a magnet fixed relative to the plate, and an alignment element projecting from the support plate. The support assembly is operable to be mounted on the lift mechanism so that the lift element is aligned with a lift opening of the support plate, with the lift element shiftable through the lift opening to locate at least part of the graphic arts plate assembly away from the support plate.
PRESS PLATEN FOR CREATING DEEP STRUCTURES
The disclosure relates to a press plate for creating deep structures in panel-like products, for example in wood-based boards or laminates made of resin-coated papers, composed of a metallic base body, in which strip-shaped and/or frame-like webs, which have a higher thermal conductivity than the base body, are inserted in depressions provided.
TAB PRESS AND METHOD OF MARKING INDICIA ON TAB STOCK
A method of marking indicia on tab stock used to provide tabs for use with can ends. The method comprises providing the tab stock to a tab press comprising a punch and a die. The punch comprises a set of raised features and the die comprises a respective set of recessed features such that the features cooperate to deboss said indicia on regions of the tab stock within tab forming areas that face outwardly when the tabs are attached to a tab end. The features are such that, when the press is fully closed, the spacing between at least part of each of the raised features and at least part of each of the respective recessed features is less than the thickness of the tab stock in said regions within tab forming areas.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MANUFACTURING PRODUCTS HAVING A SURFACE PROVIDED WITH EMBOSSMENTS, AND PRODUCTS OBTAINED THEREBY
A method for manufacturing a product having a surface provided with embossments, includes bringing a material web is in contact with a roller. The roller is provided with a relief at its surface, with which, via this relief, embossments are formed in the material web. The roller has a circumference of which, or at least certain parts thereof that are variable, or alternatively the circumference of the roller is variable by making use of embossing elements, wherein the mutual angular position thereof is adjustable.
Tool and method for embossing packaging material with an embossing pattern having a code with low visibility and method of reading a code
An embossing tool for embossing a combined embossing pattern into a packaging material, the combined embossing pattern including decoratively embossed structure and at least one embossed code, the embossing tool including a male and a female embossing device for cooperating with each other, embossing structures of the male and female embossing device formed to produce the combined embossing pattern into the packaging material in an embossing gap, the embossing structures of the male and the female embossing device include first embossing structures intended for making the at least one embossed code, which are inverse congruent male and female embossing structures having a polyhedral shape, and the decoratively embossed structures and the at least one embossed code produced by the embossing structures are arranged such that the at least one embossed code has a reduced visibility as compared to the decoratively embossed structures.
