A drying system having a wicking member defined by a top-surface, a bottom-surface, and a thickness; wherein the drying system for items includes the wicking member suitable for supporting the items for drying in an ambient environment. The bottom-surface is able to be placed on a planar-surface (such as a table or counter or the like) to support the wicking member, the bottom-surface adjacent the planar-surface when used. The wicking member has pleated vertical members protruding upwardly from the top-surface. The wicking member may be made of terry cloth or other suitable fabric that is flexible.

A freestanding domestic appliance includes at least one mounting aid which has at least two functional parts arranged on its front side, wherein a first functional part is configured as a hose holder, wherein a second functional part is configured as an upwardly open hook for mounting additional parts and is arranged at a height below the first functional part. A fastening contour is provided on the backside of the mounting aid for holding the mounting aid on the domestic appliance, and is arranged at a height above the first functional part and on a fastening leg which extends in the opposite direction of the at least two functional parts. In order to provide a sink accessory part for arrangement on a sink, which can be positioned on the sink simply and stably without the need for a plurality of horizontal support areas at the same height on the sink, and without restricting the functionality of the sink accessory part or the sink, it is proposed that the sink accessory part should include a first coupling device, for coupling the sink accessory part to a first side wall of a bowl of the sink, and a second coupling device, for coupling the sink accessory part to a second side wall, opposing the first side wall, of the bowl of the sink.

In some arrangements, the combination drying mat, rack and storage container may further include a flexible and expandable band pivotably attached to the container, wherein the band is arranged to pivot and substantially secure the rack in the second position.
