A system is provided enabling do it yourself body stenciling and/or body art. In particular, the system of the invention provides a body tight removable mask that masks an area of the body for body applications. The mask is sized to fit a particular portion of the torso or an appendage of a subject individual, and masks a standard area to enable an unskilled artisan to treat a portion of the subject individual. The stencil can mask a logo (e.g. of a sports team) or other form such as a swimsuit form on a wrist or ankle or upper torso, forehead, or a bathing suit area of the subject individual. The system optionally includes adhesive, Velcro, or other interlocking overlapping portions enabling easy removal of the stencil without disturbing the freshly treated area. In its simplest form, the stencil is a mask of the thighs, and the waist, the lower chest area and upper chest area, for example, with a preferably elastic mask panel that can be easily removed once the basic application is complete. Advantageously, the invention enables websites that feature body applications, such as websites featuring Sports teams, Universities, Sports Illustrated or Fashion TV, to sell stencil product in association with displays of finished works on models.

A method implementing custom signage workshops, including providing workshop materials, including stencil masks selected from a stencil database, pre-measured/pre-cut wooden substrates, sealer, quantities of different colors of artistic compositions, applicator, precision finishing tools, and precision applicators, and then sending the workshop materials and a teacher to a customers' home, teaching how to use a pressure member to adhere a stencil mask to a substrate, teaching application of sealer to the wooden substrate, teaching how to apply artistic composition to the sealed substrate to yield an artistic work, teaching when to remove the stencil mask from the substrate, teaching how to remove the stencil mask from the substrate, teaching how to use precision finishing tools to clean up artistic work, and teaching how to use the precision composition applicator to touch up artistic work. The plurality of quantities of artistic compositions includes at least fifty different colors.

A surface marking system, kit, and method enables a user to mark a pattern upon a surface. The components may include a rectangular marking material transfer body, a particularly marked alignment tape, and a series of spacer elements. The marking material transfer body includes a fixed dimension and at least one marking material transfer portion. The outer perimeter includes opposed mark-alignment edges. The alignment tape has a fixed width, a select length, and a marked anterior surface. The marked anterior surface includes a series of width-wise marks and a length-wise mark. The length-wise mark is centered relative to the fixed tape width. A select body dimension is firstly and successively positioned at a select number of sequentially spaced width-wise marks and mark-alignment edges are firstly and successively alignable with parallel length-wise marks. The spacer elements ensure parallel arrangement of the length-wise marks and provide overlap sections adjacent the mark-alignment edges.

The present invention relates to devices, methods, and kits for applying stencil patterns to surfaces, particularly to surfaces made of fabric or fabric-like materials.

A stencil assembly includes a handle, a clamp assembly, and one or more stencil attachments. The clamp assembly extends from the handle and includes first and second clamp members. The first clamp member includes a first clamp surface, and the second clamp member includes a second clamp surface. The stencil attachments include an attachment member that removably engages with the clamp assembly and a stencil design extending from the attachment member. One or both of the first and second clamp surfaces includes grooves. The first and second clamp members are biased to each other in a closed configuration such that the first and second clamp surfaces engage with each other. In the closed configuration, the grooves define, at least in part, channels for removably engaging with the one or more stencil attachments.
