An artist palette having a tray with an upper surface, a plurality of recessed wells positioned in the tray, an aperture in an edge of the upper surface of the tray providing a place for a painter to hold the tray, a drip ledge groove positioned on a periphery of the upper surface of the tray including a first upwardly extending edge useful for removing excess paint and water from a paintbrush, and wherein the drip ledge groove serves to hold paint or water that has been removed from the paintbrush.

A paint roller cover cleaning system includes a tubular enclosure having a slot and a rib. The tubular enclosure is configured to house a paint roller cover and is defined by an exterior surface surrounding an interior surface surrounding a lumen having a center and a length extending from an open first end to an open second end. In communication with the lumen, the slot is formed through the exterior and interior surfaces of the tubular enclosure and has a sidewall projecting outward from the exterior surface of the tubular enclosure as well as into the lumen and forms the rib within the lumen. The slot and the rib are configured to cooperate to direct a fluid stream into the lumen along a path tangent to a circle having a diameter less than a width of the lumen.

A paint roller cover cleaning system includes a tubular enclosure having a slot and a rib. The tubular enclosure is configured to house a paint roller cover and is defined by an exterior surface surrounding an interior surface surrounding a lumen having a center and a length extending from an open first end to an open second end. A paint palette mounting system comprising a docking portion (31) and a paint box (10), configurable to a paint palette. The system includes a first half (32) of a coupling feature at the docking portion for coupling with a second half (14) of the coupling feature located on the paint box/palette. The coupling feature is preferably comprised of complimentary stadium-shaped parts, with chamfered edges (37), that are separable by a twisting motion. The parts are held together by magnetic connections and/or a mechanical fixing element. The paint box/palette includes several overlapping lids (11, 18, 19) that unfold to provide paint mixing surfaces (17).

When bristles of a paint brush are placed in the paint well, its handle rests upon the resilient sealing member which compresses around the handle when the cover is closed to provide a substantially air-tight seal.
