Aspects herein relate to an applicator wand that is configured to melt a solid marking material and apply the melted marking material onto a receiving medium. Aspects of the applicator wand include a heating and melting element enclosed within an external casing, a receiving compartment configured to receive one or more solid marking materials, and an applicator tip for applying the melted marking material onto a receiving medium to create a design, drawing, picture, sketch, and the like on the receiving medium.

An optical device for painters is provided which can be used to make life drawings, the device being positioned facing the observer, between the scene, image or model to be copied and the working surface. The device includes a supporting structure including at least two mirrors disposed facing one another, both positioned to form an angle, of approximately 45, relative to the rear surface of the structure, such that the image, located on the front side of the device received by a first mirror is reflected onto a second mirror and the image reflected in the second mirror is received by the observer located on the rear side of the device. One of the mirrors can pivot in order to control the orientation of the reflected image received and to adjust same as appropriate.

A paintbrush guard a hollow body sized to fit over a felt of a paintbrush, a pair of opposing side shields and end shields extending from the body, the side shields having a plurality of interlocking tabs which can be used to lock the shields in an open bell shaped position or a closed position for cutting in a painted surface.
