DECORATIVE CONCRETE SIMULATING NATURAL WOOD AND METHOD OF FORMING THE SAME
A decorative concrete structure simulating natural wood and a method of fabricating the same is disclosed. A concrete mixture is poured over a subgrade which defines an exposed surface. The exposed surface is swept with a broom, saw cut, and optionally stained, and sealed to simulate aesthetic appearance of the natural wood.
Limestone masonry veneer, resurfacing and aesthetic overlay compositions, methods of making and methods of use
A limestone based masonry veneer composition is described that may be molded, blown, sprayed, troweled, or otherwise applied to interior and exterior surfaces. The composition provides an aesthetic resurfacing, cladding and/or overlay coating. The composition is capable of being pigmented, textured, sculptedor otherwise formed into an aesthetic, realistic, architecture, suitable as a stone veneer, an example of which is Blown Stone, by Stone Coat. Texturing or sculpting may occur about 1 hour and up to about 12 hours after applying the composition. The final composition is hydrophobic and breathes. Air carbonation allows the formation of a predominantly very pure calcium carbonate or limestone when fully cured, which prevents mold and algae growth and allows for autogenous healing with an increase in unit weight over time, ensuring an overall high compressive strength that endures over time.

WOOD TREATMENT METHOD
Disclosed is a method for treating a grained material. A nonlimiting example of the method includes the operations of providing a workpiece having grains, exasperating a surface of the workpiece to open the grains, applying at least one coat of a base paint to the exasperated surface, applying at least one layer of clear coat on the base paint, applying at least one of a glaze and a paint on the clear coat, and surface treating to reveal grains of the workpiece. Disclosed also are items of furniture and sheet materials treated by the aforementioned process.

Art medium surface treatment tool
An art medium applicator includes a rotating shaft and an art medium coupled thereto for causing the medium to travel through an application path for transfer to a substrate. The applicator includes a coupling assembly, and may include an applicator tip including a cavity into which the art medium is inserted and supported. An art medium modifier includes a rotating shaft and an art medium modifier coupled thereto for causing the modifier to travel through an application path for modification of an art medium previously applied to a substrate.

Method for Providing a Metal Piece of a Musical Instrument with a Pattern that Exhibits Various Visual Effects
A metal piece is provided with a pattern that exhibits different visual effects when it is viewed at different angles. At first, an as-cast metal piece is provided. Then, the metal piece is polished. The metal piece is cleaned. A layer is provided on the metal piece by providing colorant on the metal piece. An outline is provided on the bottom layer. A portion of the bottom layer is removed from the outline. Grooves are made in the outline before the metal piece is cleaned again. The grooves extend in a desired sense of direction and are at a desired depth. A colored pattern is provided by filling colorant in the outline. The colored pattern is dried. Grooves are made in the colored pattern before the metal piece is cleaned again. A protective layer is provided on the bottom layer and the colored pattern. The protective layer is dried.
