Decorative object
An example apparatus includes a translucent hollow body, the hollow body having an inner surface and an outer surface. The example apparatus further includes a paint layer disposed on the outer surface of the translucent hollow body. The paint layer substantially covers the outer surface of the translucent hollow body with paint, the paint layer including exposed regions having paint removed to expose the outer surface of the translucent body. At least one exposed region forms a decorative shape.

Thermoplastic laminate, decorative part for eyewear and process of preparation thereof
The present invention relates to a thermoplastic laminate for an eyewear, a decorative part comprising the thermoplastic laminate and a preparation process therefor. In particular, during the preparation of the laminate, a high frequency welding machine is used for bonding thermoplastic layers. The present invention uses a high frequency welding machine for the instant welding of the thermoplastic layers. Good bonding strength exists between different layers. Further, the patterns of the core layer are intact, and have high-definition images. The patterns are located in the core layer, not affected by external environmental factors, and not easily abraded. Further, multiple surfaces of the part for an eyewear have patterns, increasing the beautiful appearance of the part for an eyewear, and meeting the requirements of customers to the largest extent.

Multiple-Polarization Cloaking for Projected and Writing Surface View Screens
A system includes a view screen with polarized output. The view screen may include a projected view screen or writing-surface view screen. A window capable of blocking the polarized output at least in part cloaks the view screen to frustrate viewing of the view screen through the window. In some cases, the window includes an array of panels capable of blocking multiple polarizations. The array may disrupt multiple different polarized view screen outputs while maintaining transparency to unpolarized light. In some cases, the window capable of blocking polarized output may be paired with view screen cover that converts view screen output in an unblocked polarization to one of the one or more polarizations blocked by the window.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING IMPROVED VISUAL AND OPTIONALLY TACTILE FEATURES ON A SUBSTRATE
Methods and apparatus provide for an improved visual and optionally tactile features on a visible element of an article, such as a consumer electronic device (e.g., a mobile electronic device, a mobile phone, a smartphone, a tablet, a phablet, a notebook computer, a laptop, etc.).
Three dimensional shadow box with water flow
An artistic presentation in the form of a shadow box is disclosed where the shadow box has been augmented with various dynamic visual effects. One such dynamic visual effect is the movement of water across the shadow box, simulating rain droplets, waterfall, sheets of water, or aerosolized water such as fog or mist. When combined with various lighting effects, the combined dynamic visual presentation permits a constantly changing visual appearance that can recycle and go on indefinitely.
Device with backlit colored display and method of manufacture
A device for displaying images having variable colors comprises a substrate; a light-transmissive coloring layer painted or laminated on the substrate, the coloring layer comprising colorants of different colors and having a rear side in contact with the substrate and a varnished front side; a display layer comprising a silvering material directly plated on the varnished front side of the coloring layer, the display layer comprising a display pattern forming a visible displayed image, the silvering material comprising a metal, a metalloid, or an oxide thereof to form a one-way-mirror; an illuminator configured and positioned to illuminate the coloring layer from the rear side of the coloring layer. When the coloring layer is unilluminated by the illuminator, the unilluminated coloring layer is hidden behind the one-way-mirror. When the coloring layer is illuminated by the illuminator, the illuminated coloring layer visibly colorizes the displayed image through the one-way-mirror.

LAYERED STRUCTURE WITH EMBEDDED GRAPHICAL PATTERN
A method is presented for producing an optically transmissive layered structure for use as a display protector for electronic devices. The method comprises printing an ink pattern on a base layer, where said base layer is substantially optically transparent, and the base layer and ink are configured so that the ink reflects light with high incidence angle and transmits light with low incidence angle, when in use, thus displaying the pattern in the absence of light with high intensity and low incidence angle, the pattern becoming substantially undetectable otherwise.
