Disclosed is a decorative element (1) comprising two substantially parallel panels (2, 3) which are arranged at a distance from each other and at least one of which (2, 3) is at least partially permeable to visible light, and a plurality of precious stones (6) that are disposed between the panels (2, 3). A device (4) for fixing the precious stones (6) in a specific position is located between the panels (2, 3). Said position-fixing device (4) includes compartments (5), inside each of which exactly one precious stone (6) is disposed. At least one of the panels (2, 3) directly adjoins the compartments (5).

A kit for making a simulated stained glass article, having a light-transmissive molded plastic substrate with an array of ridges on one major surface, laterally defining a pattern of upwardly open spaces, and a set of light-transmissive molded plastic colored stickers that are respectively peripherally shaped to fit conformingly into the spaces of the pattern. Side walls of the ridges are beveled at an angle sufficient to enable release of the substrate from a mold but are steep enough to facilitate precise placement of the stickers in the spaces and to minimize transmission of light around the edges of the stickers. In an article made from the kit, the stickers and ridges simulate the glass pieces and lead cames of a conventional stained glass window.
Ligneous decorative design part, and method of producing the same
A ligneous decorative design part having a high degree of originality and excellent design, and exhibiting a novel handsome appearance, due to properties of a ligneous material which has translucency when impregnated with a resin material. The ligneous decorative design part has a surface layer portion including a ligneous sliced veneer which is impregnated with a resin material and disposed on a side of a front surface of the surface layer portion, and which defines a decorative design surface, and a base layer portion superposed on a back surface of the surface layer portion, and formed integrally with the surface layer portion. The surface layer portion has translucency, and the ligneous decorative design part further includes another material interposed between the surface layer portion and the base layer portion and which is visible on a side of the front surface of the surface layer portion.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PRINTING ON CURVED SURFACES
A method and apparatus for screen printing facilitate the application of colors, patterns, and other indicia onto a curved printing substrate, such as a concave glass surface of an appliance. The apparatus includes a print head assembly that is typically supported by a frame and is movable relative to the frame and the printing substrate. The print head assembly includes biasing elements with movable end portions that support a wiper and apply varying levels of pressure to the wiper as it is moved along the curved surface or surfaces of the substrate during a printing process. The print head assembly and associated screen printing equipment may be automated or computer controlled so as to independently vary the pressure of the biasing elements and, thus, the pressure of different areas of the wiper along the substrate, to accommodate simple or complex curves in the substrate surface.

Methods and apparatus provide for an improved visual and optionally tactile features on a visible element of an article, such as a consumer electronic device (e.g., a mobile electronic device, a mobile phone, a smartphone, a tablet, a phablet, a notebook computer, a laptop, etc.).
Colored glass
A colored glass, a surface of which is roughened in whole or in part. In the colored glass, an average value of gloss values measured at 9 points in the surface thereof at an incident angle of 60 in accordance with JIS 28741 (1991) is 30 or less, a ratio of a difference between a maximum gloss value and a minimum gloss value to the maximum gloss value is 20% or less, and a minimum value of visible-light transmittance at a thickness of 0.8 mm is 70% or less.
Colored glass
A colored glass, a surface of which is roughened in whole or in part. In the colored glass, an average value of gloss values measured at 9 points in the surface thereof at an incident angle of 60 in accordance with JIS 28741 (1991) is 30 or less, a ratio of a difference between a maximum gloss value and a minimum gloss value to the maximum gloss value is 20% or less, and a minimum value of visible-light transmittance at a thickness of 0.8 mm is 70% or less.
BALLOON
A balloon comprises a printed display. The printed display comprises: a printed image layer; a blocking layer provided behind selected portions of the printed image layer; and a diffusion layer provided behind at least those portions of the printed image layer not backed by the blocking layer. The blocking layer acts to block illumination of portions of the printed image layer, such that the printed display provides a different appearance when lit primarily from inside the balloon to when lit primarily from outside the balloon.
BALLOON
A balloon comprises a printed display. The printed display comprises: a printed image layer; a blocking layer provided behind selected portions of the printed image layer; and a diffusion layer provided behind at least those portions of the printed image layer not backed by the blocking layer. The blocking layer acts to block illumination of portions of the printed image layer, such that the printed display provides a different appearance when lit primarily from inside the balloon to when lit primarily from outside the balloon.
