The present invention describes power assisted system (PAS) driving the front wheel of a bicycle, including kits and bicycles containing said PAS.

SPOKES OF WHEEL
20210086553 · 2021-03-25 ·

Spokes of a wheel contain: a wheel rim, a hub, multiple screwing segments, and multiple screw elements. The respective spoke is made of chrome molybdenum (CrMo), and the respective spoke includes a through hole passing therethrough so as to form a seamless alloy steel pipe. The respective spoke includes a first connection segment and a second connection segment, the first connection segment has a first threaded section, and the second connection segment has a second threaded section so that the first threaded section is screwed with the respective screw element of the hub. The respective screw element of the hub has an orifice, such that the first threaded section is inserted through the orifice to screw with the respective screw element on an inner wall of the hub, and the second threaded section is screwed with the respective screwing segment of the wheel rim.

Smart bicycle wheel sensor system

A bicycle wheel sensor is provided and includes a housing configured to be at least partially disposed within a tire of a bicycle wheel. The sensor may be mounted opposite a valve stem location to help balance the bicycle wheel. The bicycle wheel sensor has one or more sensors exposed to the inside of the tire and is configured to provide data obtained from within the tire. The sensor includes an electronic control unit that receives the data from the sensors and transmits the data to a user device via a transceiver.

CONNECTING SYSTEM FOR TENSILE ELEMENTS
20210078361 · 2021-03-18 ·

A connecting system for a tensile element including a longitudinal tensile element and a connector. The connector has an external connector surface and an internal cavity with an internal surface with a pre-formed lateral connector surface extending generally laterally inwardly. The internal cavity sleevably overlaps at the tensile element in an overlap region. The connector is crimped to create a crimped joinder between the connector and tensile element where a portion of the external connector surface is pressed to plastically deform the connecting element and displace the internal surface laterally inwardly to deboss the external surface in the overlap region. The connector includes a laterally outwardly projecting overlie surface to provide an external overlie engagement for connection with a bracing element and to support tensile load.

BICYCLE RIM
20210206200 · 2021-07-08 ·

A bicycle rim contains a body, multiple fixing bars, and multiple abutting faces. The body includes multiple through orifices, a hub, and multiple threaded orifices. Any two intersected fixing bars are connected with two adjacent through orifices and two threaded orifices corresponding to the two adjacent through orifices respectively. Each fixing bar includes a first screwing section and a second screwing section. The second screwing section is screwed with each of multiple nuts and each of multiple second screw bushings. The multiple abutting faces are connected with the multiple fixing bars respectively. Each fixing bar includes an axial line defined along a center thereof. An angle is defined between each abutting face of the body and the axial line of each fixing bar and is 90 degrees. Two connection sections are defined among each through orifice, two ends of each abutting face, and the inner wall of the body.

TUBELESS VALVE ASSEMBLY
20210023895 · 2021-01-28 ·

A bicycle wheel comprises a rim and a valve assembly. The rim includes a radially inner wall having an inner opening and a radially outer wall having an outer opening. A first portion of the rim includes a first securing feature (e.g., inner threads). The valve assembly is positioned in the inner opening and outer opening and includes a second securing feature (e.g., outer threads) engaging the first securing feature. The rim can include a plate that defines the first engaging feature. The valve assembly preferably includes a valve stem and a resilient bumper coupled to the valve stem and aligned with a second portion of the rim. The valve assembly can further include a seal member compressed between the valve stem and the rim. Preferably, the seal member is positioned in an annular groove in an underside of an enlarged head of the valve stem.

Disc wheel with internal bracing

A bicycle disc wheel comprises a first disc panel and a second disc panel. The first disc panel has a first side outer surface and a first side inner surface and the second disc panel has a second side outer surface and a second side inner surface. The first side outer surface radially extends from a first disc panel outer perimeter to a center opening and the second side outer surface radially extends from a second disc panel outer perimeter to the center opening. The second side inner surface faces the first side inner surface. A brace is coupled to the first side inner surface and the second side inner surface that provide radial and axial structural support to the disc panels.
