Composite material body for impact absorption and articles comprising the body
A composite material body (10) includes a first material layer (20) and a second material layer (30) overlapping the first material layer (20). The first material layer (20) and the second material layer (30) are wound to form a flexible and circular rod. Impact absorption is effectively improved and impact resisting strength is enhanced because energy-absorber or damping material or its composition is attached into the composite material body (10). Technical characteristics, effects and objects of this invention are achieved thereby.
BICYCLE WHEEL AND RELATIVE MANUFACTURING PROCESS
A bicycle disc or spider wheel including: a hub; a rim having a radially outer tire-coupling region, a first sidewall, a second sidewall; an axis of rotation; and a median plane. A pair of pretensioned disc or spider wheel-type structural elements are integral with the hub and with the rim. The first sidewall extends on a first side of the wheel, with respect to the median plane, on which a component of a motion transmission system or, when there is none, a disc of a disc brake is provided at the hub, and the second sidewall extends on the opposite side, with respect to the median plane. The first sidewall of the rim has a minimum distance from the median plane that is smaller than that of the second sidewall of the rim.
Damper Assembly
A damper assembly for a bicycle wheel assembly may include a first damper configured to be disposed about a hub assembly of the bicycle wheel assembly. The first damper is configured to apply a first damping force against a spoke segment of at least one spoke of a plurality of spokes of the bicycle wheel assembly. The spoke segment is spaced apart from a spoke attachment member.
Damper Assembly
A bicycle wheel assembly may include a rim, a hub assembly, a plurality of spokes and a damper assembly. The damper assembly includes a damping element configured to apply a damping force against at least one spoke of the plurality of spokes. The damping force may be applied in an axial direction of the bicycle wheel and/or to a segment of the at least one spoke near the hub assembly.
Axle connector adapter assembly
An axle connector adapter assembly, including: a frame element with a first frame member; an axle extending along an axial axis and including an engagement end with a first threadable portion; and an adapter with a second threaded portion for threadable engagement with the first threadable portion. The first frame member includes an open slot with an open entrance portion, a closed terminus region, slot sidewalls extending between the open entrance portion and the closed terminus region, a slot axis, an axially outward facing first outboard face, and an axially inward facing first inboard face. The adapter is assembled to the first frame member to include a rotationally keyed engagement between the adapter and the first frame member to limit rotation of the threaded portion relative to the first frame member about the axial axis. The adapter is preferably axially retained to the first frame member.
WHEEL ROTATED BY LOAD APPLIED TO AXLE REMAINING STATIONARY AT ECCENTRIC POSITION
A wheel rotated by a load applied to an axle remaining stationary at an eccentric position is disclosed. The present invention comprises: the wheel configured such that the outer periphery of an inner rim of the wheel assembled to a wheel hub provided at the axle to which the load is applied applies pressure to a plurality of compressive force elastic bodies provided at the inner periphery of an outer rim of the wheel; and a control roller for pushing the outer rim of the wheel at a gap of a predetermined range such that the axle provided at the wheel hub always remains stationary at the eccentric position of the wheel.
Bicycle wheel
A bicycle wheel contains a rim, multiple spokes, and multiple abutting faces. The rim includes multiple through orifices, a hub, and multiple threaded orifices. Two intersected spokes are connected with two adjacent through orifices and two threaded orifices corresponding to the two adjacent through orifices respectively. Each spokes includes a first screwing section and a second screwing section. The second screwing section is screwed with each of multiple nuts and each of multiple second screw bushings. The multiple abutting faces are connected with the multiple spokes respectively. Each spoke includes an axial line defined along a center thereof. An angle is defined between each abutting face of the rim and the axial line of each spoke and is 90 degrees. Two connection sections are formed on two ends of each abutting face.
Illuminating bicycle wheel device
Disclosed is an illumination device for use with spoked wheels, such as bicycle wheels, wherein the wheel includes a hub portion, a plurality of spokes, and a rim portion. The illumination device includes a power pack, at least one adaptor body, and at least one attachment portion. The power pack having at least one wire, a flexible button cap, a body housing, and circuit board with a switch. The at least one wire including a plurality of light sources. The at least one attachment portion including a clip portion providing for the installation of the at least one adaptor body to the bicycle spokes. The illumination device also includes a holder for the installation of the power pack to the bicycle wheel. Further, the illumination device may include a tubular body located in the internal cavity of the at least one adaptor body.
Cycling aero foil system
The coefficient cycling aero foil system is designed to reduce drag and turbulence from a tire and spokes used to support a bicycle wheel. The system is integrated into a rim on a bicycle wheel which allows for increased forward momentum by cutting drag and reducing wheel turbulence that occurs during the rotation of a bicycle wheel. The foils may be strategically placed for optimum aerodynamic wind flow and are precisely angled to force wind past the foil creating increased forward momentum.
Wheel hub assembly
A wheel hub assembly for tension spoke wheels is provided. The wheel hub assembly has a construction that automatically adjusts the position of the axle bearings along the rotational axis of the hub assembly to take-up slack between the axle bearings and the hub shell to prevent wheel wobble.
