Scooter Wheel
A scooter wheel assembly consists of a rim which holds a tire and said rim having as its axial hole two tapers meeting at its mid-plane. The rim accepts two hub halves of which each is a frustum, such that clamping forces across the opposed conical surfaces of the pair of frusta firmly enforce concentricity between the axle and the rim and its tire. The rim and tire are connected to the axle exclusively by frictional coupling. Advantageously for changing a rim or tire, the hub parts can be quickly disassembled with common tools.
AIRCRAFT WHEEL ASSEMBLY
An aircraft wheel assembly that includes first and second hub components having an axis and respective first and second sets of circumferentially spaced apart interface elements. The first and second hub components may be rotatable relative to one another about the axis between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the first set of interface elements is axially movable relative to the second set of interface elements. In the second position the first set of interface elements axially overlaps the second set of interface elements to prevent axial movement of the first hub component relative to the second hub component.
Bicycle wheel with unitary side construction
A wheel having a longitudinal plane normal to an axis of rotation. The wheel has a rim with side surfaces on opposite sides of the longitudinal plane. A hub is concentrically disposed relative to the rim. Two unitary side elements are disposed on opposite sides of the longitudinal plane and are coupled to the rim and to end portions of the hub. Each of the unitary side elements has an annular sidewall, a flange portion, and a plurality of spokes that do not cross the longitudinal plane and that integrally interconnect the annular sidewall and the flange portion. An end portion of each spoke of the one side element is tied to the end portion of an aligned spoke of the other side element adjacent to the sidewall to restrict the tied end portions from moving away from each other.
BICYCLE WHEEL AND RELATIVE MANUFACTURING PROCESS
A bicycle disc or spider wheel including: a hub; a rim having a radially outer tire-coupling region, a first sidewall, a second sidewall; an axis of rotation; and a median plane. A pair of pretensioned disc or spider wheel-type structural elements are integral with the hub and with the rim. The first sidewall extends on a first side of the wheel, with respect to the median plane, on which a component of a motion transmission system or, when there is none, a disc of a disc brake is provided at the hub, and the second sidewall extends on the opposite side, with respect to the median plane. The first sidewall of the rim has a minimum distance from the median plane that is smaller than that of the second sidewall of the rim.

HYBRID WHEEL
A hybrid wheel including a functional rim, a center disc, and a wheel face insert, wherein the wheel rim and the center disc are made of a specified material, and wherein the wheel face insert is made of a dissimilar material. The wheel face insert can be secured to the center disc by at least one of screws, pins, rivets, or structural adhesive, and/or the wheel face insert can be secured to the functional rim by at least one of screws, pins, rivets, or structural adhesive.
WHEEL, DRIVE WHEEL, AND WHEELCHAIR
Provided is a wheel (6a) in which a disk (62) includes a ring-shaped rim (60) on which a tire (6b) is fitted, and a disk (62) having a flat circular shape and disposed on an inner circumference of the rim (60). The disk (62) includes a first rib (62a) and a second rib (62b) which extend in a radial direction of the disk (62). A width of each of the first rib (62a) and the second rib (62b) in a circumferential direction of the disk (62) increases toward an outer circumferential side of the disk (62).
Composite wheel assembly and method of manufacturing
A composite wheel assembly and method of fabricating the same is provided. The wheel assembly includes a composite wheel rim, a wheel center, and a plurality of attachment fasteners for attaching the wheel center to the wheel rim. The wheel rim includes a plurality of attachment inserts that are configured to selectively engage with respective attachment fasteners. Each attachment insert is encapsulated by a plurality of composite layers of the wheel rim or is otherwise secured to the wheel rim. The attachment inserts extend from and/or are positioned within a drop well region of the wheel rim. The method of fabricating the wheel assembly includes forming first and second preforms and positioning the same onto a mold assembly. The method further includes positioning the attachment inserts between the first and second preforms such that the attachment inserts are secured therebetween.

Minimizing drag-induced forces on a wheeled vehicle
A wind-diverting apparatus for minimally shielding only the faster-moving drag-sensitive uppermost wheel surfaces from headwinds reduces overall vehicle drag. The apparatus includes various upper wheel fairings of FIGS. 1-6. Each fairing shields a primary vehicle-drag-inducing upper wheel surface from headwinds otherwise impinging directly thereon.
