Fiber-composite ventilation flap for a vehicle and wheel for a vehicle
A fiber-composite ventilation flap for a vehicle is made of a laminate formed by at least two individual tiers. At least one of the individual tiers has respective unidirectionally oriented fibers, and wherein the at least two individual tiers are arranged in the laminate in such a way that the fibers thereof are oriented at least predominantly differently to one another. The fibers of the at least two individual tiers are oriented differently to one another in such a way that at least one region of the fiber-composite ventilation flap curves about a predefined primary axis under the influence of heat and is thereby in an open state.
Composite wheel with improved mounting formation
The invention relates to a composite wheel (200) including a hub (202), a rim (204) and a connection structure (206) connecting the hub (202) to the rim (204). The hub (202) has front (208) and rear (209) faces and is formed with one or more mounting formations (216) for, in use, receiving a fastener to mount the hub (202) to a mounting surface of a vehicle. Each mounting formation (216) includes a fastening region (218) recessed into the front face (208) of the hub (202) and includes a fastener aperture (212) defining a passage between the fastening region (218) and the rear face (209) of the hub. Each mounting formation (216) also includes a front-to-fastener ply (224) extending between a front region of the hub and the fastening region (218) for, in use, transferring load between the front region of the hub (202) and the fastening region (218).
Method for producing a cast vehicle wheel
A method for producing a one-piece cast vehicle wheel, the wheel having at least one hub portion connected to a wheel rim via at least one spoke oriented in the radial direction of the wheel, in which at least one lost core is inserted in a molding of the casting machine, the one-piece vehicle wheel is cast, and the lost core is removed from the cast vehicle wheel and thereby forms at least one opening in the spoke. A one-piece cast vehicle wheel formed by the method is also provided.

COMPOSITE RIM OF VEHICLE WHEEL AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
Disclosed are a composite rim of a vehicle wheel and a method of manufacturing the same, which is reduced in weight through the use of a continuous fiber composite. The rim of a vehicle wheel may be formed by stacking composite sheets, each prepared by impregnating fibers with a resin to form a sheet. The composite sheets may be stacked in multiple layers such that end portions of the respective composite sheets may contact each other in a circumferential direction of the wheel, and discontinuous interfaces, formed at the contacting end portions of the respective composite sheets along an axial direction of the wheel, may not be aligned with each other.
WHEEL RIM ASSEMBLY
A wheel rim assembly includes a rim defining a rim opening, a wheel disk disposed in the rim opening, a plurality of first fastening members fastening the wheel disk to the rim, and a plurality of second fastening members. The wheel disk includes a center disk defining a center bore that is coaxial with the rim, and a plurality of spokes interconnecting the center disk and the rim. The first fastening members fasten the spokes to the rim such that removal of the first fastening member permits separation of the spoke from the rim. The second fastening members fasten the spokes to the center disk such that removal of the second fastening member permits separation of the spoke from the center disk.
