A lighting module has axial screws that extend axially rearwardly from a rearward surface of the module base and are respectively received in hollow screw bores extending axially rearwardly from a module mounting face of a vehicle wheel. A wheel that receives the lighting module has an axially inwardly facing sidewall into which are formed plural hollow bolt receivers. For each such bolt receiver, a keyed lock assembly having a radial bolt is provided within the body of the module. The bolt is operable to extend radially outwardly through a module bolt hole to a locked position within a respective wheel rim bolt receiver, locking the module to the wheel, and to be retracted radially inwardly to an unlocked position. A transparent cover of the lighting module protects plural LEDs mounted on a forward face of a circuit board.

A locking device for car wheels is disclosed to prevent unauthorized removal of the wheels. The device includes a locking unit that allows covering of special bolt heads by covering wings. The locking module can be further covered with a covering plate. The system provides multiple layers of protection to the wheels and considerably lengthens the time required to remove the wheel without proper keys.

An anti-theft device for preventing the theft of tires and rims on automobiles. The anti-theft device may be secured over the rim of an automobile so that the anti-theft device is secure and covers the lug nuts of the wheel. The anti-theft device prevents access to the lug nuts and thus prevents the lug nuts and consequently the wheel from being removed. The anti-theft device may include a housing, security cables, a locking mechanism, and a lock.

A vehicle wheel anti-theft system is disclosed. The system includes a plurality of lock actuators. Each lock actuator is configured to move between a locked state and an unlocked state. Each lock actuator includes a body portion extending along an axis of wheel rotation and at least one locking member configured to engage a portion of the wheel in a direction perpendicular to the axis of wheel rotation when in the locked state.

DECORATIVE SECURITY FASTENER

A security fastener assembly is provided with a cap having a standard tool bearing surface and an attachment portion formed opposite the tool bearing surface. A fastener body has a mating attachment portion formed at a first end along which the cap is secured and a keyed security feature formed adjacent the mating attachment portion. A second end of the fastener body has a threaded fastener portion for securing the fastener assembly to a vehicle. The threaded portion of the fastener body is installed with rotation in a first direction. Engaging the tool bearing surface of the cap and rotating in a second direction opposite the first direction does not rotate the threaded portion of the fastener body. The fastener body is removable with the keyed security feature.

DECORATIVE SECURITY WHEEL FASTENER

A security fastener assembly is provided with a cap having a decorative bearing surface and a lower retention portion. A fastener body has: a threaded portion or securing the fastener assembly to a corresponding threaded feature on a vehicle; a stem opposite the threaded portion for receiving the cap, the stem having a security protrusion defining a distal end, an undercut formed adjacent the stem for cooperating with the lower retention portion of the cap, where the lower retention portion of the cap is secured in the undercut to maintain the cap on the fastener body; a keyed security drive feature formed between the threaded portion the stem portion where the fastener body is removable with the keyed security feature. Engaging the decorative bearing surface of the cap and rotating does not rotate the threaded portion of the fastener body.

WHEEL THEFT PREVENTION SYSTEM

An anti-theft system for a wheel assembly may include a wheel body having a rim portion on which a tire is mountable and a rotational axis, a wheel hub operably coupled to a shaft or axle of the vehicle and to which the wheel body is mountable, and a lock assembly having a locked state in which the lock assembly engages both the wheel hub and the wheel body to prevent removal of the wheel body from the wheel hub, and having an unlocked state in which at least one of the wheel hub or the wheel body is not engaged by the lock assembly to enable removal of the wheel bod from the wheel hub. The lock assembly may be disposed between the wheel hub and the wheel body and blocked from view by the wheel body.

WHEEL THEFT PREVENTION SYSTEM

An anti-theft system for a wheel assembly may include a wheel body having a rim portion on which a tire is mountable and a rotational axis, a wheel hub operably coupled to a shaft or axle of the vehicle and to which the wheel body is mountable, and a lock assembly having a locked state in which the lock assembly engages both the wheel hub and the wheel body to prevent removal of the wheel body from the wheel hub, and having an unlocked state in which at least one of the wheel hub or the wheel body is not engaged by the lock assembly to enable removal of the wheel bod from the wheel hub. The lock assembly may be disposed between the wheel hub and the wheel body and blocked from view by the wheel body.

An aluminum-wheel design cover 10 includes: a design cover part 12 that has a rotationally asymmetric design and is configured to be fitted onto an aluminum wheel 2 having a rotationally symmetric design; and a balance-adjustment weight part 16 provided on the design cover part 12 in such a manner as to suppress vibrations when the design cover part 12 is fitted onto the aluminum wheel 2 and a vehicle tire is rotated.
