WHEEL LOCKING ASSEMBLY AND METHOD

A wheel locking assembly is provided for securing a wheel to a wheel hub of a motor vehicle. That wheel locking assembly includes a locking cylinder and a wheel retainer. The wheel retainer is displaceable by means of the locking cylinder between an unlocked position, allowing removal of the wheel from the wheel hub and a locked position securing the wheel to the wheel hub. A related method for securing a wheel to a wheel hub of a motor vehicle is also disclosed.

The wheel cover assembly has a front side and a back side, with at least two handles attached via at least two hinge points attached to at least two interlocking cam latch mechanisms arranged integrally on the wheel cover. The wheel cover assembly is attached to the hub via at least two cam latch mechanisms which lock into a collar assembly. The collar assembly consists of at least two collar halves and a latch that, when installed, applies a compressive force on the axle hub flange holding the assembly to the hub. Each of the at least two collars contain retention features that receive the interlocking features of the cam latch mechanism of the wheel cover assembly.

A sensor array is disposed in the cavity of fastener body to detect an attribute of the fastener body and generate an output signal based on the attribute of the fastener body. An antenna connected to the sensor array to transmit the signal to a remote location. A cap is secured to the first portion of the fastener body and covers the wrenching surface and the cavity opening to define a capped fastener body.

A locking device for locking a wheel of a vehicle is provided, where the device comprising a main module adapted to be attached to a rim of the wheel and configured to cover nuts or bolts that attach the wheel to the vehicle, a tubular center bolt having a threated outer surface and configured to adapt a lock cylinder, the tubular center bolt being further adapted to be connected to the main module via an insert sleeve; and at least one threaded element permanently assembled within a center bore or behind the rim; wherein the tubular center bolt is configured to be threadedly attached to the at least one threaded element to attach the locking device onto the wheel, and wherein the lock cylinder is configured to be arranged in a locking state within the center bolt in which the center bolt is prevented from rotating relative to the main module and the at least one threaded element, and in an open state in which the lock cylinder allows the center bolt to rotate relative to the main module and the at least one threaded element.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ULTRA WIDEBAND-BASED INCLINATION SENSING

A vehicle including a first ultra-wideband (UWB) sensor and a second UWB sensor is disclosed. The first UWB sensor may be positioned at a vehicle front portion, and the second UWB sensor may be positioned at a vehicle rear portion. The vehicle may further include a memory and a processor configured to receive at least one of a first signal from the first UWB sensor and a second signal from the second UWB sensor. The processor may be configured to determine whether the vehicle is at an incline position based on at least one of the first signal and the second signal.

Secure locking hub system

A secure locking hub system for locking a wheel hub of a vehicle to an axle is provided. The system has a locking ring that may be manually inserted and removed by a user to switch the system between locked and unlocked configurations. When in the locked configuration, the hub is in a rotationally fixed position relative to the axle on which the hub is mounted. With the hub locked to the axle, the wheel will not rotate and the vehicle thus cannot be moved. The system additionally has a security lock that prevents any unauthorized individual from removing the locking ring, thereby preventing theft of the vehicle.
