Locking device
A locking device, for securing a toolbox with respect to a support structure, comprising a housing for receiving at least part of a ground engagement mechanism of a toolbox. The housing is configurable to have an opening, or has an opening, through which at least part of a ground engagement mechanism of a toolbox may be inserted into and removed from the housing. The locking device comprises a retaining mechanism that is movable between a retaining configuration, that prevents the removal of the at least part of the ground engagement mechanism from the housing through the opening, and a releasing configuration that allows the removal. The retaining mechanism comprises a retaining member that is movable between a first position such that the retaining mechanism is in the retaining configuration and a second position such that the retaining mechanism is movable to, or is in, the releasing configuration. The locking device comprises a lock configured such that the retaining member is selectively lockable in its first position and the locking device comprises a retaining member protector configured to substantially prevent access to at least part of the retaining member through the opening, when the retaining member is in the first position.
Vehicle wheel having a hammer-debossed texture
Wheels for use on vehicles and methods of manufacturing vehicle wheels are described in the present disclosure. According to one embodiment, a method includes a step of manufacturing a wheel that includes a rim, a center disk, and a plurality of spokes. The rim may include a substantially-cylindrical barrel adapted to seal a tubeless tire. The center disk may include a central bore adapted for engagement with an axle of a vehicle. Also, the plurality of spokes may be adapted to connect the center disk to the rim. The method further includes the step of deforming outwardly-facing surfaces of the spokes using one or more hammering or punching instruments.
Secure locking hub system
A locking hub system for locking a wheel hub of a vehicle to an axle is provided. The system has a locking ring that may be moved between locked and unlocked configurations. When in the locked configuration, the hub is in a rotationally fixed position relative to the axle on which the hub is mounted. With the hub locked to the axle, the wheel will not rotate and the vehicle thus cannot be moved. When in the unlocked configuration, the hub can rotate freely about the axle, thereby allowing movement of the vehicle.

Wheel cap lock and locking method
A wheel cap lock includes an engagement receiver fastened to a selected one of wheel lugs of a vehicle for securably engaging an engagement fastener received from an outside of the wheel cap through a hole formed therein in correspondence with a location of the engagement receiver when installed to the selected lug.

Vehicle wheel anti-theft system and method
Embodiments include a vehicle comprising a plurality of wheels, each wheel including a pressure sensor and a wireless transceiver; a central transceiver configured to obtain tire pressure and signal strength information from each of the wireless transceivers; and a processor communicatively coupled to the central transceiver and configured to detect removal of one of the wheels based on the signal strength information obtained from the wireless transceiver included in the removed wheel. Other embodiments include a method comprising obtaining tire pressure and signal strength information from each of a plurality of wireless transceivers respectively coupled to a plurality of wheels included in a vehicle; and detecting, using one or more processors, removal of one of the wheels from the vehicle based on the signal strength information obtained from the wireless transceiver included in the removed wheel.
LOCKING DEVICE FOR BICYCLE WHEEL QUICK RELEASE MECHANISM
There is described a quick-release arrangement for mounting a bicycle wheel (2) to a hub of a bicycle frame (1) using a single-sided mount. The quick-release arrangement includes a number of levers (12) each movable between a closed position, in which the wheel is retained to the bicycle hub, and an open position in which the wheel is freely removable. A locking ring (21) is mounted to the bicycle wheel and is rotatable between an open position and a locked position. When the locking ring (21) is in the locked position, hooks (24) on the locking ring (21) are engageable with pins (26) mounted on the levers (12), to prevent the levers (12) from moving out of their closed positions. The locking ring (21) may be mounted to a lever cover plate (18) which is fixed to the wheel and arranged so as to partially cover the levers (12) when they are in their closed positions. The lever cover plate (18) may have a window (27) through which an indicator is visible to indicate the position of the locking ring (21).
Vehicle wheel assembly
A vehicle wheel assembly includes a brake rotor and a wheel lock. The brake rotor has at least one of a plurality of studs and a plurality of threaded openings disposed at a rim. The brake rotor has a first lock opening that is spaced of the plurality of studs and the plurality of threaded openings. The wheel lock is received by the first lock opening when the wheel lock is installed to the brake rotor.
