DEVICE FOR DETERMINING WHEEL FASTENING STATE USING SERVER
Provided is a device for determining a wheel fastening state that allows a wheel fastening state to be monitored during running. The device includes a sensor unit (3) that is attachable to and detachable from a wheel fastening part, an information terminal (4) that is an in-vehicle device (4A) or a portable terminal (4B), and a server (30). The terminal (4) includes a measurement instruction module (23) to read vehicle state data from a control and communication system (5) of a vehicle and send an instruction for to measurement to the sensor unit (3) at determined timing. The server (30) includes a first information processing module (32) configured to determine an abnormality of a fastening state of the wheel fastening part by comparing the measurement data with accumulated data that is measured under the same condition and stored in the past.
APPARATUS FOR DELIVERING AIR THROUGH POWERED AXLE ASSEMBLIES
The air transmission structure includes a statorhaving an annular outer wall with at least one aperture, an air inlet, and an air passage between the air inlet and the at least one aperture on the annular outer wallbiased against the non-rotating spindle. A housing includes interior annular walls mounted in radially spaced relation with the annular outer wall of the stator to form an annular cavity therebetween, and at least one aperture formed through the interior annular wall, and air outlet, and an air passage between the at least one aperture and air outlet. A seal is inserted within the annular cavity and defines a radial air passage between the apertures defined within the stator annular outer wall and the housing interior annular wall. An annular bearing between the stator and housing is configured to allow the housing to rotate with respect to the stator.
SAFETY DEVICE FOR A VEHICLE WHEEL
A safety device for a truck, tractor, or trailer wheel assembly is an integral member with mounting holes for receiving axle studs of the wheel assembly to fix the integral member to the axle. The integral member has a radially extending portion which, when the integral member is fixed to the axle, overlaps the wheel studs of the wheel assembly but is free of any connection to the wheel studs. The integral member has tapered holes radially outbound of its mounting holes. In another embodiment, the integral member of the safety device has a cylindrical, interiorly threaded, sleeve portion and a radial portion extending radially outwardly from the sleeve portion with the radial portion having tapered holes radially outbound of the sleeve portion.
DUAL TIRE MOUNTING DEVICE
A dual tire mounting device having an inner hub mount, a plurality of spaced fins connected to and extending outwardly from the inner hub mount, and a plurality of U-shaped ribs aligned with and connected to the spaced fins. An outer ring is received within and connected to slots in the U-shaped ribs.
System, method and apparatus for installing a torque tube
An apparatus for installing a torque tube includes a first clamp portion and a second clamp portion. The first clamp portion is arcuate in shape and has opposed first distal ends. The second clamp portion is arcuate in shape and has opposed second distal ends configured to abut the first distal ends of the first clamp portion to form a ring. The first clamp portion and the second clamp portion are configured to clamp a torque tube therebetween. The apparatus also includes a plurality of legs depending downwardly from the first clamp portion and the second clamp portion which are configured to set a spacing between the torque tube and a seal ring.
Dual tire air maintenance system and method
An air maintenance tire system and method in accordance with the present invention includes an air pumping mechanism configured to maintain air pressure within a first tire and a second tire in a dual tire arrangement. The system includes a control valve assembly attached to an elongate valve stem projecting from a rim of a first tandem tire, and a one-way valve carrying connecting tube from a sidewall air pumping passageway within a sidewall of the first tire. The control valve assembly further includes first and second outlet tubes connected to the elongate valve stem to selectively pass pressurized air into the tire cavities of both tandem mounted tires on an as-needed basis.
