Insert for a rim of a spoked wheel for bicycle and respective spoked wheel for bicycle
An insert for the rim of a spoked bicycle wheel that has a spoke hole. The insert has a portion configured to abut against a spoke attachment element with an enlarged head and a holding element that prevents movement of the spoke attachment along said longitudinal axis of the spoke hole.
DEVICE FOR COUPLING RESONATOR TO VEHICLE WHEEL
A device configured for coupling a resonator to a vehicle wheel, may include an annular first strap assembled with an external circumferential surface of the wheel rim and fixing positions of resonators disposed on the external circumferential surface of the wheel rim; and an annular second strap surrounding second flanges formed at second edge portions of the resonators based on an axial direction of the wheel rim and pressurizing the second flange toward the external circumferential surface of the wheel rim after first flanges, which are formed on second edge portions of the resonators based on an axial direction of the wheel rim, are inserted between the first strap and the external circumferential surface of the wheel rim
METHOD FOR PRODUCING DROP CENTRE RIMS, DROP CENTRE RIM AND VEHICLE WHEEL THEREWITH FOR COMMERCIAL VEHICLES
A method for producing a drop centre rim and to a drop centre rim for vehicle wheels of commercial vehicles. The rim has a plurality of zones, which form an inner rim flange and an outer rim flange, an inner steep-tapered bead seat and an outer steep-tapered bead seat and a rim drop centre with a drop centre base, an inner drop centre flank and an outer drop centre flank between the steep-tapered bead seats, wherein one of the zones is provided as a disc attachment region for a wheel disc, and the drop centre rim has at least one partial zone with a reduced wall thickness relative to the other zones. It is envisaged that at least one of the steep-tapered bead seats, preferably both steep-tapered bead seats, has/have a section with a wall thickness reduction of more than 20% relative to the wall thickness in the zone provided as the disc attachment region, wherein the wall thickness reduction is produced during one of the profiling steps.
Composite wheel rim preform and method of fabricating a composite wheel rim preform
A preform for fabricating a wheel rim and a method of making a preform is provided. The preform includes a main section and at least one secondary section, each section being formed from composite materials, such as triaxially braided composite material that includes fibers oriented in at least three directions. The main section forms at least part of a lateral section of the preform and the secondary section forms at least part of a radial portion of the preform, the radial portion of the preform being generally perpendicular to the lateral section of the preform. The preform is fabricated from a plurality of composite layers, at least some being custom composite layers having a plurality of axial fibers interwoven intermittently with substantially consistent first and second sets of biased fibers. In some embodiments, the preform is initially fabricated in an intermediate configuration prior to being moved to a final configuration.
VEHICLE WHEEL RIM
A vehicle wheel rim is printed with a metal alloy by a three-dimensional printing method. The rim includes a substantially circular rolling strip defined by a front edge and a rear edge. The rolling strip includes a central rim base, a front part including fittings for a front tire support, located between the rim base and the front edge, and a rear part including fittings for a rear tire support, located between the rim base and the rear edge. The rim is designed to be mounted on a vehicle such that the front edge is located on an outer side of the vehicle and the rear edge is located on an inner side of the vehicle. The rolling strip includes a plurality of cavities in the thickness thereof and in a radial section.
WHEEL DISC AND PRODUCTION MACHINE
One or more embodiments relate to a device configured to form at least partially at least one disc of a wheel having a rim and a hub support defining an axis of rotation, wherein the device has at least: one central zone; one peripheral zone partially surrounding the central zone; one first portion having at least one first layer and extending into the peripheral zone and into the central zone along a first axis; one second portion having at least one second layer and extending into the peripheral zone and into the central zone along a second axis different from the first axis; and in that the first portion and the second portion are superposed relative to one another at the level of the central zone defining a stack.

Vehicle tire bead retention systems, devices, and methods
A wheel assembly includes a rim having a primary tire bead retention ridge; a plurality of secondary bead retention members; and a plurality of sealing members. The plurality of secondary bead retention members are removably coupleable to receptacles of the rim such that a portion of each secondary bead retention member extends into a pressurized portion of the wheel, is positioned behind a tire bead seat, and extends radially beyond the primary tire bead retention ridge.
Aerodynamic Bicycle Rim and Wheel
An aerodynamic bicycle rim, the bicycle rim comprising a circumferential clincher portion adapted to seat a clincher bicycle tire, a nose a set of sidewalls, each sidewall extending radially from the nose to a respective circumferential outer edge to form a rim body having a maximum rim body width that is greater than a maximum width of the clincher bicycle tire and spaced radially inward of the clincher portion and radially outward from a centerline of the rim body. The aerodynamic bicycle rim seats the clincher bicycle tire to form an asymmetrical cross-sectional shape in which the widest part of the rim body is spaced from a centerline of the asymmetrical cross-sectional shape and there is a tangent line tangent to the clincher bicycle tire and a sidewall of the set of sidewalls, the tangent line tangent to the sidewall radially inward from the respective circumferential outer edge.
