TIRE/WHEEL ASSEMBLY
A tire/wheel assembly of the present disclosure includes a tire with a tread portion and a wheel with a rim. The tire is mounted on the rim, and the tire/wheel assembly includes a power reception coil. In the contact patch when the tire/wheel assembly is filled to a prescribed internal pressure and subjected to the maximum load, the rectangle ratio of the ground contact length at a position, in the tire width direction, located 10% of the ground contact width inward in the tread width direction from an edge in the tire width direction to the ground contact length at the center of the contact patch in the tire width direction is 50% or more.
Tire retaining feature for a bicycle rim
A rim assembly for a bicycle wheel includes a rim, a first protruding tire retaining feature attached to a first surface of the rim, and a second protruding tire retaining feature attached to a second surface of the rim. The first surface is a surface of a first tire retaining wall of a radially outer tire engaging portion of the rim, and the second surface is a surface of a second tire retaining wall of the radially outer tire engaging portion. The second surface faces the first surface. The first protruding tire retaining feature and the second protruding tire retaining feature are made of a first material, and the first tire retaining wall and the second tire retaining wall are made of a second material. The second material is different than the first material.
WHEEL-INTERNAL DOUBLE BEADLOCK SYSTEM AND METHODS THEREOF
An internal double beadlock system includes a centralized inner ring and one or more tire positioners. The one or more tire positioners are coupled to extend out from each side of the centralized inner ring. Each of the tire positioners has a length to detachably engage with a portion of an inner tire wall on each side of a tire positioned on a tire rim while being shorter than a width of the tire rim.
Valve Stem Support Apparatus
A valve stem support apparatus for supporting a valve stem while attached to a pump includes a bracket having a bracket top side, a bracket right side and a bracket left side. The bracket top side has a valve aperture extending therethrough. The valve aperture slidingly receives a valve stem of a tire of a bicycle. Each of the bracket left side and the bracket right side has a screw aperture extending therethrough. A receiving distance between the bracket right side and the bracket left side is wider than a rim of the bicycle. A pair of thumb screws is coupled to the bracket. The pair of thumb screws is threadingly engaged with the screw apertures of the bracket left side and the bracket right side to engage the rim of the bicycle and secure the bracket.
Vehicle wheel
A vehicle wheel includes a rim and a sub-air chamber member attached to the rim and serving as a Helmholtz resonator that cancels air column resonance noise in a tire air chamber. The sub-air chamber member includes: a main body portion including a top plate, a bottom plate, and a side plate connecting between the top plate and the bottom plate, the main body portion defining an inner space surrounded by the top plate, the bottom plate, and the side plate and serving as a sub-air chamber; and a communication through-hole that allows communication between the tire air chamber and the sub-air chamber. The main body portion further includes a substantially cone-shaped portion formed integrally with the bottom plate and the side plate.
HEAT SHIELD CHIN RING
A chin ring heat shield for a wheel assembly arranged to provide a shield between convection and radiation heat from braking components and a tire of the wheel assembly, the chin ring comprising a first, radially extending, flat portion extending from a first chin ring end and a second, concave portion extending generally axially away from the first portion to a second chin ring end, wherein the axial length from the first chin ring end to the second chin ring end is sufficient to block a line of sight between the braking components and the tire when the chin ring is mounted between the braking components and the tire.
