FLEXIBLE, DUAL PURPOSE WHEEL SPEED HARNESS AND BREATHER LINE
A method for attaching a clamping assembly to the frame of a machine includes attaching a sensor assembly to the spindle of a machine such that a wire harness extends through the internal cavity of the spindle and out from the spindle, fishing the wire harness through a breather line, and attaching the wiring harness to the chassis of a machine.
Knuckle apparatus for vehicle suspension system
A knuckle apparatus for a vehicle suspension system, may include a bearing device having an assembly end portion protruding and extending from a center thereof; and a knuckle device having a plurality of brackets connected to a suspension system component, the brackets being coupled through the assembly end portion.
Axle assembly having a countershaft
An axle assembly having a countershaft. The countershaft may be disposed in an axle housing. An axle shaft may be disposed in the countershaft. A first clutch may control rotation of the countershaft with respect to the axle shaft. A second clutch may control rotation of the countershaft with respect to the axle housing.
WHEEL HUB WITH CENTRING MEANS
A wheel hub having an axis of symmetry and including a flange transverse to the axis of symmetry and provided with a plurality of fixing holes for attaching a wheel, a tubular body extending axially from the flange for supporting a rolling bearing, and a centering device arranged on a side of the flange opposite to that of the tubular body and in a position concentric with the axis of symmetry of the wheel hub, for retaining a wheel rim or a brake disc. The centering device being provided with a given number of flattened areas extending circumferentially and axially on a respective continuous tubular body projecting axially from the flange.
Sealing device for wheel hub assembly
Sealing device for a wheel hub assembly provided with a rolling bearing, the sealing device being provided with a shield mounted on an outer ring of the bearing and with an annular cylindrical wall having an inner lateral surface mounted on an outer lateral surface of a collar of the outer ring; and with a sealing material fixed to the shield and defined by a pre-formed annular covering of polymer material, preferably but not necessarily rubber or thermoplastic material, formed independently and separately from the shield and mounted on the shield.
WHEEL BEARING UNIT FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE AND MOTOR VEHICLE
A wheel bearing unit for a motor vehicle, comprising a wheel hub, a wheel bearing housing and a rolling bearing by which the wheel hub is mounted rotatably in relation to the wheel bearing housing. The rolling bearing has at least one row of rolling elements which are guided on the wheel hub side in a bearing inner ring which is designed as a separate component in relation to the wheel hub and which is fixedly connected to the wheel hub. The wheel hub has a through opening with an inner toothing, via which through opening the wheel hub can be connected in a non-rotational manner to a drive journal which is provided with an external toothing.
FLANGED INNER RING OPTIMIZED FOR ORBITAL FORMING OPERATION AND ASSOCIATED TOOL
Flanged inner ring of a rolling bearing forming part of a wheel hub unit of motor vehicles, having at its axially inner end a rolling edge configured to preload axially a radially inner ring after being plastically deformed by orbital forming. The rolling edge is provided with a conical surface of an axially inner portion of the rolling edge. A first parameter is defined as being the ratio between the conicity of the conical surface expressed in degrees and the thickness of the rolling edge expressed in millimeters and assumes values ranging between 0.03 mm.sup.1 and 2 mm.sup.1.
Wheel-hub bearing unit
A unit forming a wheel-hub includes an outer bearing ring that is stationary and a flanged body that is directly connected to a pillar of a vehicle are provided with respective locking surfaces for locking the outer ring inside an assembly seat of the flanged body.
Axle assembly with outboard axle bearings
An axle assembly having an axle housing, an axle shaft, a plurality of axle shaft bearings and a seal. The axle housing has a tubular member and an end flange that is coupled to the tubular member. The axle shaft bearings and the seal are received in the end flange and are engaged to the axle shaft. The axle shaft bearings support the axle shaft for rotation relative to the axle housing. The seal is sealingly engaged to the end flange and the axle shaft. A method for assembling an axle assembly is also provided.
Hub unit bearing
A hub unit bearing includes a stationary side raceway ring, a rotating side raceway ring including a rotating side flange for fixing a vehicle wheel, and rolling elements rollably provided therebetween. The rotating side flange includes thin portions and thick portions arranged alternately in a circumferential direction. A hub bolt is serration-fitted to a bolt hole formed in each of the thick portions. An outer peripheral surface of the rotating side flange includes a large-diameter portion which has a larger radial thickness dimension with the bolt hole, a small-diameter portion which has a smaller radial thickness dimension with the bolt hole than the large-diameter portion, and a step portion which connects the large-diameter portion to the small-diameter portion. A serration-fitted portion does not radially overlap with the large-diameter portion.
