Splined drum and electric motor engagement assembly
The rotor of an electric motor unit has a web portion partially enclosing the remainder of the unit and terminating in a circumferentially extending rim. The brake drum defines an engagement surface for drum brake linings, and has an outboard end defining a flange securable to the wheel hub. The brake drum also includes an open inboard end, partly covered over by a dust guard, and a circumferential wall extending between the outboard and inboard ends and surrounding the engagement surface. By way of keys and slots or recesses, a reinforcing ring interlocks the circumferentially extending rim of the web portion and the circumferential brake drum wall. The reinforcing ring is secured to the circumferentially extending rim and to the wall of the brake drum at a location disposed axially between the rim of the web portion and the brake drum lining engagement surface.
Girocycle IX
A hollow flywheel gyro assembly mounted within the wheel supports of a two wheeled vehicle having a split drive hub for providing continued rotational motion to the hollow flywheel gyro as the vehicle is stopped when the brake is engaged and functioning to create gyroscopic stability about the drive wheel while simultaneously creating a stability enhancing air envelope surrounding the drive wheel and hollow flywheel gyro by the intake of adjacent air through the air intake apertures and the exhaust of that air volume from within the hollow flywheel gyro through air exhaust apertures as the hollow flywheel gyro rotates independently of the drive wheel of the vehicle causing the vehicle to remain in an upright equilibrium with the vehicle stopped.
HUB STRUCTURE HAVING ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM
A hub structure having an anti-lock braking system contains: a hub assembly and an anti-locking assembly. The hub assembly is located on a center of a wheel and includes a holder and a connection shaft. The anti-locking assembly is received in the holder and is fitted on the connection shaft, and the anti-locking assembly includes an anti-lock seat received in the holder and fitted on the connection shaft to rotate with the holder simultaneously, multiple eddy current elements arranged on two sides of the anti-lock seat and two ends of the connection shaft. A predetermined distance is defined between any two adjacent eddy current elements, and a respective eddy current element has at least one electromagnetic induction portion, when two corresponding electromagnetic induction portions are electrically conducted, a current magnetic field produces so that the anti-lock seat produces reverse currents to stop rotation.
BRAKE APPARATUS FOR VEHICLE
A brake apparatus for a vehicle may include: a caliper body module provided with a finger part and a cylinder part spaced apart from each other and facing each other, a pad plate part disposed between the finger part and the cylinder part, and configured to selectively come into contact with a disk module rotated together with a rotor to generate a braking force, a piston module installed in the cylinder part to be movable forward and backward and configured to press the pad plate part, a guide member disposed on both sides of the caliper body module and configured to movably support the caliper body module, and a first fastening member extending from the guide member and fastened to a first mounting member provided in a stator.
Hub-integrated inflation system
A hub-integrated inflation system which functions to convert relative motion at the wheel end (e.g., between the axle and the hub or wheel) into a pumping motion. The relative motion is then converted into mechanical or electrical energy, which can be used to actuate a pump of an inflator.
Motorized hub assembly for a bicycle wheel
The present invention relates to a motorized hub assembly for a bicycle wheel. The assembly has a hub shaft extending along a longitudinal axis with a cavity to receive a quick release axle. A bearing having a radially inner ring is arranged radially outside the hub shaft. A hub body is rotatably mounted on the hub shaft about the longitudinal axis and an electric motor is arranged inside the hub body. A routing opening for passage of electrical conductors for the electric motor pass through a routing opening arranged radially between the inner ring of the bearing and the hub shaft.
RUNNING GEAR STRUCTURE FOR A COMMERICAL VEHICLE AND COMMERCIAL VEHICLE RUNNING GEAR
The invention relates to a running gear structure (4) for a commercial vehicle. The running gear structure comprises a lower transverse strut (8) and an upper transverse strut (9). The lower transverse strut (8) and said upper transverse strut (9) are fixedly connected to each other. The upper transverse strut (9) comprising two recesses (12, 13) which limit a space (14) located above the lower transverse strut (8). The space (14) is open at least in upper direction and dimensioned for accommodating a suspension spring (6). Preferably, an axle body and longitudinal swinging arms (22, 23) of the running gear structure (4) have a skeletal design with a plurality of struts (5). It is possible that the running gear structure (4) is L-shaped in a side view. Here, one leg of the L is formed by a horizontal structure part forming the longitudinal swinging arms (22, 23) whereas the other leg of the L is formed by a vertical structure part forming the axle body.
FRONT WHEEL STEERING MECHANISM IN CENTER HUB STEERING
A front wheel steering mechanism in a center hub steering system. The mechanism comprising an inner wheel hub, an outer wheel hub, paired rolling bearings positioned between these inner and outer wheel hubs, a front shaft, a hub steering bracket attached to outside of the front shaft, and a hub steering shaft. The inner wheel hub is attached to the hub steering bracket so as to freely rotate about the hub steering shaft as an axial center. The outer wheel hub is configured of a left outer wheel hub and a right outer wheel hub. These left and right outer wheel hubs are rigidly coupled or are coupled via a plurality of wire spokes to a rim.
Gearless power conversion system employing two electric machines
A human power conversion system incorporates two or more electric machines to aid in the powering of a vehicle through energy conversion. A first electric machine is coupled with the human powered input and acts as a generator when a human power input is not sufficient to produce electrical power that is provided to a second electric machine that propels the vehicle. The vehicle may be a bicycle and the first electric machine may be coupled to the crank. A bi-coupled electric machine including the first and second electric machines with a common rotor or stator may be employed and coupled to the crank and/or the driven wheel. Power produced by the first electric machine may be provided directly to the second machine or may be stored in a battery and used to propel the vehicle or power other electronic components.
