A sealing device for a bearing unit having an axis of rotation and providing; a static component placed on a non-rotatable outer ring having a reinforcement support that abuts the outer ring and elastomeric material disposed on the reinforcement support, the elastomeric material forming first and second lips; a rigid shield configured for placement on one of a rotatable hub and a rotatable inner ring; the first and second lips have an equilibrium position where they do not contact the metallic shield; the elastomeric material forming a third lip that contacts the rigid shield to form an internal volume of the sealing device, the second lip and the rigid shield define a labyrinth seal in communication with the internal volume; the second lip, does not extend a full three hundred sixty degrees around the axis of rotation. This creates a channel for drainage of contaminants from the internal volume.

A sealing device for a hub/wheel assembly with a roller bearing, the sealing device comprising a guard, made of plastic, which is coupled to an outer ring of the bearing so as to seal off the bearing, and which has a cylindrical mounting wall having an outer lateral surface coupled to an inner lateral surface of a collar of the outer ring. The sealing device includes a snap-engagement tooth for engaging with the collar made along the outer lateral surface so that the snap-engagement tooth snap-fits in a contoured annular groove made along the collar about the axis and an annular gasket made of thermoplastic elastomer being co-injection-molded inside a gripping seat made in the cylindrical mounting wall on the same side as the snap-engagement tooth, substantially at a corner defined between the cylindrical mounting wall and an annular reading wall transverse to the cylindrical mounting wall.
End cover for vehicle non-driven wheel hub assembly
An end cover for enclosing and protecting a vehicle non-driven wheel hub assembly from a vehicle body inner side. The hub assembly includes an outer ring, an inner ring, and two rows of rolling bodies disposed therebetween. The outer and inner rings define an interior space of the hub assembly in a radial direction. An end of the outer ring facing the vehicle body inner side forms a spigot for connection purposes. The end cover is formed having a pressure fitting part tightly fitted to the spigot from a radial direction, and a radial main body part capable of closing the interior space of the hub assembly from an axial direction. The pressure fitting and the radial main body parts form an elastic retainer. The end cover is largely made of a plastic material, and an at least partially contained metal framework is formed in the elastic retaining region.

A wheel bearing arrangement for a motor vehicle with a wheel hub and a wheel bearing for the rotatable bearing of the wheel hub at a wheel mount. The wheel bearing has an outer ring and an inner ring, which is rotatable with respect to the outer ring around an axis of rotation and is connected to the wheel hub. A wheel flange extends from the wheel hub and, as viewed in the axial direction, has a brake disk mount, which is open in the direction facing away from the outer ring and which, as viewed in longitudinal section with respect to the axis of rotation, is formed by a recess of the wheel flange, and has a support surface for a brake disk.
BEARING DEVICE FOR VEHICLE WHEEL
In a bearing device for a vehicle wheel (1), a large-diameter section (2i) is formed on an outer side of a fitting cylinder section (2h), and a small-diameter section (2j) is formed on an inner side of the fitting cylinder section (2h). A cap member (8) is formed by bending a metal steel plate, and has a cover plate section (81) which closes the inner open end of an outer member (2) and a fitting section (82) which is fitted over the small-diameter section (2j). A tapered portion (83) based on the spring back angle θ of the fitting section (82) is provided at the outer peripheral edge of the outer end section of the fitting section (82).
Wheel bearing sealing device
A sealing device comprises a first insert body and a second insert body. The first insert body has an annular first frame, and a first sealing part coupled to the first frame. The second insert body has an annular second frame having a diameter smaller than that of the first frame, and a second sealing part coupled to the second frame. The second insert body rotates relative to the first insert body. The first insert body and the second insert body are arranged such that a gap is formed between the first sealing part and the second sealing part. The second sealing part has a first surface facing the first sealing part and spaced apart from the second frame in a first axial direction; and a first baffle protruding toward the first sealing part from the end of the first surface in the outer radial direction thereof.
ROLLING BEARING UNIT
A rolling bearing unit includes: an inner ring member having a recess on a first side in an axial direction along a rotation axis, which is recessed toward a second side in the axial direction; an outer ring member on an outer peripheral side of the inner ring member; a rolling body between the inner ring member and the outer ring member; a non-contact transmitter using electric field coupling capable of transmitting at least one of an electric power or a signal and including a stationary-side transmission part including a stationary-side electrode and a rotary-side transmission part including a rotary-side electrode facing the stationary-side electrode; and a covering member supported by the first side of the outer ring member in the axial direction, covering the first side of the inner ring member in the axial direction, and fixing the stationary-side transmission part to the first side in the axial direction.
Wheel end assembly for a tire inflation system and the tire inflation system made therewith
A wheel end assembly for a tire inflation system includes a sealing ring disposed on an axle housing. The sealing ring includes a conduit formed therethrough in fluid communication with a conduit formed through a hub. The hub is rotatably disposed on the axle housing adjacent the sealing ring. An inner rotary seal is disposed between the sealing ring and the hub. An outer rotary seal is disposed between the sealing ring and the hub. The hub conduit is in fluid communication with the sealing ring conduit via an area between the inner rotary seal and the outer rotary seal. A bearing seal is disposed between the sealing ring and the hub. The bearing seal is disposed outboard of the outer rotary seal. The inner rotary seal, the outer rotary seal, and the bearing seal are each in sealing contact with the sealing ring.
UNITIZED WHEEL END ASSEMBLY
A wheel end assembly includes a hub connectable with a wheel and having a bore for receiving a shaft. An inboard bearing within the bore includes an outer ring coupled with hub, an inner ring within the outer ring and rolling elements. A seal assembly is coupled with the inner ring and retains the inner ring within the outer ring when the end assembly is separate from the shaft. An outboard bearing within the hub bore includes an outer ring coupled with the hub, an inner ring within the outer ring and rolling elements. A nut assembly is disposed adjacent to the outboard bearing and includes a nut threadably engaging the shaft. A retainer retains the nut assembly adjacent to the outboard bearing to limit axial displacement of the outboard inner ring to maintain the inner ring within the outer ring when the wheel end is separate from the shaft.
