Angular contact ball bearing and bearing device for vehicle wheel
A cage of an angular ball bearing includes, with respect to a plurality of balls arranged between an outer member and an inner member, an annular portion positioned on one side in an axial direction of the angular ball bearing, and a plurality of pillar portions provided to extend from the annular portion to the other side in the axial direction. The pillar portions include a first flat surface portion contactable with the balls on one side in a circumferential direction of the angular ball bearing, and a second flat surface portion contactable with the balls on the other side in the circumferential direction and parallel to the first flat surface portion.
Systems and methods for preloading a bearing and aligning a lock nut
A system for use in providing a load on a bearing mounted to a shaft includes a preload apparatus having a first extension and a second extension engageable with an inner race of the bearing and configured to provide a compressive load to the bearing. The first extension has a first projection and the second extension has a second projection. A stop ring is configured to limit a radially inward movement of the first extension and the second extension toward each other to position the first projection and the second projection relative to the bearing.
Flanged wheel hub for wheel hub bearings
A flanged wheel hub for wheel hub bearings, the wheel hub having a flange provided with a plurality of threaded through holes and, for each threaded through hole, a respective radial arm, which has a respective axial thickness (SAB) to act as a strengthening element for the flange, at least at the position of the threaded through holes, the wheel hub being produced by forging with the flange and the arms made in one piece, and also having, for each threaded through hole, an annular boss, which is also forged in one piece with the wheel hub and is arranged around, and penetrated by, the corresponding threaded through hole for the purpose of increasing the mechanical strength characteristics of the wheel hub.
Encoder wheel for wheel-hub unit
A speed measuring device for a wheel-hub unit provided with a rolling bearing, the measuring device having an encoder wheel made of magnetized elastic material and assembled on a rotating ring of the bearing; mechanical supporting means that are directly placed between the encoder wheel and the ring so that the encoder wheel and the ring are angularly constrained to each other; and mechanical locking means for axially locking the encoder wheel inside a seat defined by the mechanical locking means together with the mechanical supporting means.
Rolling-element bearing unit for wheel bearing assembly
A rolling-element bearing unit for a wheel bearing assembly of a vehicle includes a rolling-element bearing with an outer ring, a an inner ring, a bearing interior between the outer ring and the inner ring and a plurality of rolling elements in the bearing interior. The inner ring has an inner ring surface facing the bearing interior and a first and a second axial end surface. A first seal assembly includes a retainer fixed on the bearing outer ring and a seal element configured to slidingly seal against the bearing inner ring surface or against a slip sleeve carried by the bearing inner ring. The retainer is an angle bracket having an axially extending annular leg and a radially inwardly extending annular flange, and radially inwardly extending flange projects radially inwardly beyond the bearing inner ring surface, for example, over a step in the first axial end surface.
Wheel hub bearing unit of a motor vehicle
A wheel hub bearing unit of a motor vehicle includes at least one roller bearing for mounting a wheel hub. The roller bearing contains an outer ring which, on an outer peripheral face, is at least partially equipped with a first threaded element and at least one inner ring, and a wheel carrier with a mounting hole. A wall of the mounting hole is at least partially equipped with a second threaded element that is provided for mechanical engagement with the first threaded element. The outer ring and the wheel carrier each have at least one contact face, which are provided to come into mutual mechanical contact when the roller bearing is mounted in the wheel carrier.
SPINDLE SLEEVE WITH RETAINER FOR VEHICLE WHEEL ADJUSTMENT
An apparatus for a vehicle is provided that has an axle with an axis. A spindle sleeve with a spindle sleeve inner surface axis coaxial with the axis of the axle is present, along with a spindle sleeve outer surface axis that is not coaxial with the axis of the axle. The spindle sleeve has an inner surface and an outer surface. A sleeve washer is present along with a bearing that has an inner race, an outer race, and a roller. The inner race has an inner surface and a front surface in which the front surface is located forward of the inner surface in a lateral direction. The inner race has a curved surface that extends from the front surface to the inner surface, and the sleeve washer engages the front surface. The apparatus also includes a retainer that engages the spindle sleeve and the curved surface.
HUB, IN PARTICULAR FOR BICYCLES
A hub for bicycles with a hub axle, a hub shell, a rotor and a freewheel device, wherein the hub shell rotates with a rotor-side hub bearing, and an outer hub bearing. The rotor rotates with a hub-side rotor bearing disposed closer to the hub shell and an outer rotor bearing further from the hub shell. The freewheel device includes hub-side and rotor-side toothed disk devices, each including an end toothing for engagement with one another, and biased to an engagement position (E). The end toothing of the hub-side toothed disk device is axially oriented to the rotor. The rotor-side toothed disk device is accommodated radially within the rotor and by an outer radial toothing, is coupled with an inner radial rotor toothing, to move with the rotor. The inner diameter of the rotor-side toothed disk device is larger than that of the hub-side rotor bearing.
Motor vehicle wheel module
A wheel module for a motor vehicle, the wheel module including a wheel carrier, a wheel hub, a wheel bearing separate from the wheel hub that supports the wheel hub on the wheel carrier, and a drive shaft for driving the wheel hub. The wheel hub having end face toothing engaging a mating toothing on the drive shaft. A spacer element is arranged axially between the wheel bearing and the drive shaft wherein the spacer element adjoins the end face toothing and/or the mating toothing radially on the outside.
Spindle system for wheel alignment correction
A spindle sleeve and washer for adjusting the camber, toe, or thrust angle of a vehicle wheel to a desired predetermined angle which allows for use of existing hub and spindle assembly without permanent modification to the vehicle.
