Hub for a bicycle
The present invention relates to a hub for a bicycle, having a hub axle, a hub sleeve which is mounted rotatably on the hub axle via a bearing arrangement, a driver which is mounted rotatably on the hub axle via a bearing arrangement and is coupleable to the at least one hub sleeve in a torque-transmitting manner, wherein the bearing arrangement has at least one axially inner bearing and at least one axially outer bearing. At least one fastening element is provided, which fixes at least the inner bearing of the bearing arrangement in its predetermined position on the hub axle by a local or sectional enlargement of the cross section of the hub axle.
Systems and methods for preloading a bearing
A tool for use in preloading a bearing includes a plurality of arms pivotable relative to each other and a pin extending from each arm of a plurality of arms. The pin is configured to engage an opening of a plurality of openings in a retaining ring. A resilient member biases the plurality of arms away from each other. A first arm of the plurality of arms includes a cavity. A second arm of the plurality of arms is received in the cavity such that an extending portion of the second arm extends outside the cavity and the second arm is moveable in the cavity.
Bearing device for vehicle wheel
A bearing device for a wheel, which has improved axial assembly accuracy of a sealing member by reducing the amount of springback. The bearing device for a wheel comprises an inner sealing member that blocks an inner opening end of an annular space formed by an outer ring and an inner ring. A sealing ring of the inner sealing member has a core metal fitting in the outer ring and an elastic member joined to the core metal. The elastic member has: a pressing part that is pressed inward in the axial direction when the sealing ring is press-fitted into the outer ring; and a non-pressing part that is not pressed inward in the axial direction when the sealing ring is press-fitted into the outer ring, wherein the axial thickness of the pressing part is thinner than the axial thickness of the non-pressing part.
A MECANUM WHEEL MODULE
A compact mecanum wheel module is disclosed. The mecanum wheel module comprises: a hub that is configured to house a motor. The hub comprises a circular planar portion and a cylindrical portion extending from the circular planar portion. The cylindrical portion forms a base of a rim of the wheel. A plurality of rollers are mounted on and around the base of the rim, the plurality of rollers each comprising a shaft and a rotatable body, the rotatable body being mounted to the shaft via needle bearings.
WHEEL BEARING DEVICE
A wheel bearing device for which the work of grinding a wheel hub is simplified. The wheel hub (3) has an inside track groove (3c), a seal land part (3d), a recess (3m), and a flange surface (3k). An outer-side sealing member (10) is provided with a core metal (11) and a sealing member (12). The sealing member includes a contact lip (12d) and a labyrinth lip (12e) facing the recess across a gap. The recess has a bottom (313) located between an outer diameter-side edge (311) and an inner diameter-side edge (312), and a tapered surface (314) that extends in the radial direction from the outer diameter-side edge toward the bottom and tilts toward one end of the axial direction going from the outer diameter-side edge toward the bottom.
Systems and methods for preloading a bearing and aligning a lock nut
A method of adjusting preload on a bearing assembly of a wheel mounted on an axle or spindle with a lock nut includes mounting a preload adjustment tool onto a threaded axle or spindle. The load on the bearing assembly is increased using the tool. The wheel on the axle or spindle is rotated to set the bearing assembly. The load on the bearing assembly is decreased to a desired maximum preload on the bearing. After decreasing the load on the bearing assembly to a desired maximum preload, the lock nut is tightened by hand until the lock nut cannot be further tightened. The lock nut is loosened by rotating the lock nut to a preferred location where a guide mark on the tool aligns with one mark on the lock nut located closest to the guide mark wherein a resultant preload on the bearing assembly is within a preset range from the desired maximum preload.
BICYCLE COMPONENT COMPRISING AN ADAPTER UNIT AND ADAPTER UNIT
A bicycle component includes a hub shell for a wheel of an at least partially muscle-powered bicycle, wherein the hub shell is rotatably supported by at least one bearing device. An adapter unit is disposed on one end of the hub shell. The adapter unit includes an inner stopper having an inner stop face for transferring a clamping force to the bearing device and an outer stopper with an outer stop face transmitting at least part of the clamping force. The adapter unit includes a first and a second stopper component transmitting the clamping force.
WHEEL-HUB BEARING UNIT
A unit forming a wheel-hub includes an outer bearing ring that is stationary and a flanged body that is directly connected to a pillar of a vehicle are provided with respective locking surfaces for locking the outer ring inside an assembly seat of the flanged body.
ENCODER WHEEL FOR WHEEL-HUB UNIT
A speed measuring device for a wheel-hub unit provided with a rolling bearing, the measuring device having an encoder wheel made of magnetized elastic material and assembled on a rotating ring of the bearing; mechanical supporting means that are directly placed between the encoder wheel and the ring so that the encoder wheel and the ring are angularly constrained to each other; and mechanical locking means for axially locking the encoder wheel inside a seat defined by the mechanical locking means together with the mechanical supporting means.
Spindle system for wheel alignment correction with brake adjustment
A spindle sleeve and washer for adjusting the camber, toe, or thrust angle of a vehicle wheel to a desired predetermined angle which allows for use of existing hub and spindle assembly without permanent modification to the vehicle.
